[1.3] Sidra's Necromancing Ranger of Chaos (Poison Arrow) Videos/Atziri capable

Hello Asidra, first of all, i'd like to congratulate you for such amazing build, well constructed guide and creative way of playing.

Second of all, I'd like to say that I kept an eye for a while on the forums looking for some build to play around, since I play RaizQT's Poison trapper and its quite non-satisfying lately. The main reasons are, the lack of leech, single target damage, fucked up detonate dead and trap limitations.

Then, since i'm a lvl 85 Scion playing a variation of his build, I would really appreciate receiving some feedback on this, because i really intend to respec and play yours instead, it seems pretty fun somehow.

Also, i want your thoughts if i should keep iron reflexes.
Thanks :)
Thanks for the kind words.

It's pretty hard for me to give tree advice since I don't play a trapper. All of the theorycrafting and min maxing and thinking I've done is just towards shooting the arrow, so my familiarity with tree efficiency when including trap nodes is low.

With respect to IR, I much prefer Evasion and Ondar's in the build to IR.

what supports do you use with fire trap?
I just saw it. Btw, why do you use chance to ignite with fire trap? Doesnt it already ignite?
No - it leaves the crappy fire on the ground which does little burning damage. The true ignited damage based burn, which otherwise it would only get 5% of the time it crits, is where the majority of the fire trap damage comes from.

Why you place Added Chaos Damage as important (listed on the second most important damage buff) since it does not buff the cloud damage?

Why you pick nodes like Quickness? Is movespeed so important in this build that should spend 4 points on them (Celerity)? (Since there's another 3 easy points to be picked but were ignored around Quicksteo)

Can zombies stay trully alive in boss fights without proper +minion life passives?

Why you decided to pick Coldhearted Calculation?

Since Physical Damage does not buff the cloud damage, why do we need it?

I'm sorry to throw so many questions at the same time, I'm playing this build on Beyond, I'm doing really, REALLY well, but I disagree in those points that I've just said above, and I'd like to understand it better why they are important.

1.)What you are referring to is the list of all of the ways you can scale Poison Arrow. They are not listed in any order of importance. The category is "Increased Chaos Damage" and the specific thing you are referring to that I list as giving Increased Chaos Damage is "qualitied Added Chaos."

The reason it is there is simply for as much all inclusive accuracy as I could provide, as the Quality on an Added Chaos damage gem provides "Increased Chaos damage" which does scale the cloud.

2.) I feel clear speed is important. And move speed greatly impacts clear speed. Plus, Celerity cluster comes with a nice hunk of evasion. Evasion is way more useful than attack speed for this build, so I take the move speed that comes with the evasion. Plus, they both take 3 points, and the celerity cluster has 1% more move speed.

3.) Zombies die in boss fights - but they aren't really for boss fights, that is what the skelly totem is for. Zombies are much more useful during the rest of maps where they add some dps, eat enemy aggression, and provide a pause for enemies in the cloud

4.) Coldhearted calculation has 20% mana regen (hugely important) and 10 int. There are no better mana related nodes available for 1 node.

5.) We don't need physical damage. If I have any it's because it's in the way or with something else I want.

Thanks for the fast response!

1) Thanks, I totally missed that. My bad
2) While I agree with you, now I see that it was my mistake to level Quickness so early in the tree

3) I already imagined that, just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the clarification.
4) Fair enough :) It's a valid point, I'll test out to see my mana consumption on higher levels with Arctic Armour
5) It's along with Quickness, that's why I asked. I should had only leved this in late levels, not before 40.

Extra (if you saw my passive tree): I'm playing on Beyond, that's why the Mind Over Matter was picked so early, since it buffs my hp by 300, which is A LOT in hardcore IMO. Now I see I should had skiped Celerity and Quickness.

And here it goes my endgame goal tree (I doubt I'll level it beyond level 80).

hey Asira,

First of all, good work with your guide. Seems very succsessfull!
I just came back to poe after a long break. In the beginning of 2014 I wrote a guide "the chaos trapper"http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/782966/page/4 with some basical mechanic explanation to PA+trap. I just saw that you asked me in my thread if you can link my build for credits, but I never answere (because I've already quitted at this time).

It would be very nice if you mention or credit my old build :)

As I told you, I just came back to PoE and worked on a new build & guide. If you´re interssted then check it out

greetings Norec

Been playing this build in beyond league and so far not dead yet lol, but i think the skill tree seems out of date.

Would anyone be able to post the updated skill tree for this poison arrow build?
