Agreed. Mindlessly murdering your way through 99.9% of the game where the enemies literally couldn't kill you if they tried is a huge bore. The game has no challenge at all until you reach Sceptre of God in Merciless. After that, high level maps with dangerous mods and even then, there is no risk vs reward for it. The game encourages you to be as much of a pussy as you can be rewarded the most for it.
I'd very much like to see them push more towards a greater reward for tackling monsters that will rape the living fuck out of your corpse if you mess up.

That said, I know I am in the minority. I think most people prefer to gradually power creep themselves up to a God among men and just steamroll everything without a single thought in their simian skulls.

I should probably add that I don't think huge one shots are the answer. I do think that the majority of the game is far too easy though. The difficulty curve is all fucked up, that is mostly what I meant. Tons of enemies are harmless, one or two are brutal.

I was about to have a problem with the bolded, but fuck that's so true.

I think the sad part is that D2 was the same way and they think this is ok.
Ancient and unwise, SSF only since 2012
In a perfect world they would nerf into oblivion:

Block/Spell Block
IR

and hopefully add a drawback to Unwavering Stance, because come on guys, not evading attacks is not an issue for armor stackers or ES users, aka the ones most likely to pick US, because they werent really likely to be evading anything to begin with.

Unwavering Stance has an opportunity cost. You could have spent that point to get more armor or higher dps.

Well put.
IGN: Caessa_Undying - 4 FPS Immersive Rain 4 Lyfe!

Shop: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/822740
nerfs:
- Bringer of Rain and Aegis Aurora will somehow be banned from dropping in the new leagues.
- Block cap might be lowered (to 70 or 65). The nodes will not change (much). Maybe Dervish will get nerfed in block chance.
- Cruel/Merciless Dominus
- That huge unique devourer in the level 66 map
- Shock and Horror map boss
- Spectral Throw will cost more mana
- Ethereal Knives will no longer be considered a spell
- Voltaxic Rift
- Monsters will have increased armor
- Monsters will have decreased elemental resistance
- Raise Spectre
- Frenzy quality bonus
- Unwavering Stance and Iron Reflexes will be moved somewhere harder to access and have 2-4 nodes before the keystone
- Cast on Crit will have a much higher cooldown, but will cast the linked spells after the cooldown if the gem triggers during the cooldown
- Cast on Damage Taken will be based on a percentage of life instead of a flat value, lowering with gem levels
- Some possible summoner gem damage changes, either higher or lower

LOL!

1 Point worth of extra dps or health vs 1 point to become completely immune to stun therefore desyncing less ultimately increasing survival by orders of magnitude.

Opportunity cost my ass. US is just as much of a no brainer passive as IR and IR is getting nerfed here shortly.

It was a nice attempt but please try again.

1. Monster damage

Never been a fan of nerfs in a pve, because it doesn't benefit anyone besides the monsters. I hate monsters, so I lean more towards the power of players. Instead of nerfing Aegis and BoR they should just make more end game viable choices.

Please no! One main reason I quit playing diablo was carebearing from patch 1.0.2 on. Games should be near impossible to reach highest levels to give you a sense of accomplishment for actually achieving such a task. Plus gameplay is more visceral/real if you can actually die from a one shot. What do you think would happen IRL someone puts a axe to your skull? Anyways I see plenty of videos of people facerolling maps with all sorts of builds so its not that hard.

CoC and burned miscreations as spectres.

If they start nerfing stuff like BoR (don't even like it) ill most likely quit and never come back.

Anything that works fairly good with a downside = nerf? no thanks.
Pretty sure about IR, most likely some nerfs to new summoners gams, BO and FO. Maybe they will do something about item quantity gems, since recent leagues didn't have them.
