Microtransactions a bit too pricey?
" Mounts are $25. Non combat pets are around $10. Sometimes they go on sale. But they aren't completely cosmetic. Mounts cost gold to buy in the game, albeit the big cost is training to ride but they still cost gold. Non-combat pets now are involved in their pokemon type pet battle and I believe the ones you buy start out at an advantage. |

Prices are based upon the amount of resources that are needed to help support the game, not how much time and effort was spent into creating just that digital item. Players seem to forget this.
The argument I'm seeing here is one of "I don't like this price, you should lower it because I have deemed it as to expensive." You don't get that right as a consumer. What you get for being a consumer is the right to not buy things you find to expensive or not worth the cost. As a member of the community you get the right to voice displeasure at the cost, but not demand that it becomes cheaper so you don't feel so bad about buy it. I'm positive their is a reasoning behind many of the prices and that it isn't a cash grab. After all the game is absolutely free to play and is in no way pay to win. If there was a subscription fee, I would be upset with such high priced items, but there isn't. |

I am just plain angry these days about "pricing", NO-ONE complained about the Kiwi pack pricing. Closed beta > open beta[/quote] Then go play something else... and just cherish the memories of closed beta ;) |

" Well, I quit pre-pokemon era, and I know they were turning over a brisk trade in them, because they were everywhere, even though there were only 3 (Pandan, little necromancer thing and the robot). XD It saddens me a little that they are now giving people an advantage by buying them, but it also makes me glad that I bailed out when I did. I'm not a n00b- I'm a Online Game Floor Examination Expert.

" The same could be said to those that are currently complaining about the HIGHEST PRICED things in the shop while still having options to buy other things. |

Well, for 20 bucks you get 6 tabs, 1 weapon glow effect, and a pet. One could call it wraeclast stranded goods. See nothing wrong there.
If i would buy myself the newest console title games that offers 20-30 hours gameplay while their cost is 50-70€ (80 - 100$) and then have this f2p game that offered me more then those console titles. Well the decision was not hard. Just pay for something if you think it´s worth. Those expensive things are for people that think this game is that money worth. What can never be lent or earned?
Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything: A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones. Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings. What am i? |

" The advantage is very minimal. I played till 90 and quit. I remember some people complaining that store bought and collector edition pets started out a bit stronger. |

" Angry at the influx of self-entitled people. The game is wonderful. I really dont understand because closed beta also had lots of non-paying supporters, yet they NEVER complained to the degree that people are today. |

The biggest problem in this thread? The people comparing this Micro-shop to LoL's.
Problem 1: This isn't LoL OR a game made by Riot. 1a.This isn't LoL OR a game made by Riot. 1b.This isn't LoL OR a game made by Riot. Don't like the prices? Go back to LoL. EDIT: Also, unless you put in all the work into making all the microtransaction animations/pets/effects/features, for the good of humanity- Shut your cock holster, Because they have to make money back atleast remotely close to what they put into it. Some guy didn't sit at home on paint and make it for free. Last edited by CastielleZero#4518 on Jan 27, 2013, 4:08:01 PM
