Horror stories of solo self found:
I save up a few hundred jewelers and 6s item. Then farm and save up a few hundred fusings and 5L. Do it all the time. What a pain. |

Ok, we all know that the RNG in what is loosely called "crafting" in PoE makes this a gambling crap shoot at best and sucks donkeys big time. The real questions we should all be asking GGG is:
1. What are you going to do in a future patch to rectify the massive problems that the current 'crafting' system RNG causes?. 2. When can we expect this problem to be fixed?. 3. Do you have any plans to add a crafting function via a town vendor (aka crafting artisan) to give us a way to craft without RNG?". "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."

A change often proposed is to keep the same fusing and jeweler chances but that it either upgrades or nothing changes. For example the first fusing used could be a guaranteed 3 link after that it would always be 3 link or higher.

1266 fusings, 5L about 8 times, Zero link twice. Still no 6L
I have to say, the ability to ZERO LINK an item with a currency named the orb of "FUSING" is one of the bigger slaps to the face in game history. @BeerPact

My suggestion for a smoother crafting experience would be:
Every 150th try is a guaranteed 5link. Every 1500th try is a guaranteed 6link. If you´re lucky you´ll get it before. |

12 jews 6S, 1 fuse 6L. My add-on to the horrors of those who failed 6L-ing with 1000+ fuses.

It's funny how I usually get lucky with 6 sockets, but I've never been able to get 6L.

I have the worse story that will trump everyone here.
I was trying to 4 link a Zodiac Leather to replace: I was getting trolled really hard, about 20 fusings in I get: Like what the hell game? Seriously? |

Do you guys bother with increasing quality of the armour before fusing? Does it actually matter?
