Fusing Horror Stories



1100 and no 5-link? That's really bad luck, took med maybe 50-70 fusings for my armour...
Went D1 -> D2 -> D3 -> PoE. Natural progression...

GGG wants you to hold a lottery.
Never link items unless you happen to get your hands on an epic end-game tier item that you are going to use yourself (and there's nothing better on the market). If this is the case, just go to a well known streamer, pay him 10 ex, and another 10 for a payout, and hold a 6L lottery.

AFAIK each fusing attempt is independant and has the same whatever-tiny chance of 6Ling?

Would the number of fusings used on an item, have any effect on future fusing(s) used? Is there some cumulative hidden counter which increments the chance for "max links" based on fusings used on an item?

Unlikely, since the amount of fusings used varies a lot. Some ppl get it in less than 10, some in over 2000

It would certainly make the fusing-hell more worthwhile, if the chance increased just slightly for every 20/40/60/100 or so used.

I agree, the RNG is a bit too steep.

The idea of increasing chances on fusing used is nice.

As it stands now nobody crafts, they save up their currency to buy whatever has already been crafted by someone else so that only a few people who probably bought their orbs through botters can achieve something in the crafting game.
