It seems I won't be able to keep up my previous pace of post spam

Unfortunately, due to chronic unemployment, deadbeat nonpayment of virtually all bills, and quite possibly a strong gaming and forum addiction, in a little under an hour I lose the right to reside in my current abode.

More likely than not, at some point during the next 16 hours, the local constable will show up and order me and my remaining possessions (not many — thanks, Craigslist!) off of the property, and I will join the ranks of the homeless.

This doesn't mean I won't pop in from time to time, and who knows? I do have a job interview on Thursday, so this might be a rather temporary thing. And Rory, don't worry, I can check my emails from Ye Olde Public Library and keep up with the unique design.

Still, my posting frequency is about to go down. Way down. It's been a lot of fun, and I can honestly say that some of you have been among the few who have continued to care as the rest of my world — job, marriage, kids — was crumbling around me.

Remember, I won't be playing PoE itself in the near future, so you guys need to enjoy it for me.

Holy crap dude.

I'm almost at a lose for words (was going to type loose just to cheer you up).

I've only recently become acquainted with the person behind the Scrotie handle. Having always read your posts with interest, I'm sad to hear of your current predicament. You're a person of extreme intelligence and I can't imagine that you would have to try that hard to land back on your feet. But that's the point. Depression is like carrying a weight around your shoulders. I can only express wishes of good cheer and hope, as empty a gesture as that it is, it is genuinely sincere.

Stay healthy and see you on the other side of this hopefully brief period in your life.
We'll keep a space open in the party for your return.

This sucks man, got a PayPal account?

I'm sure at least a hand full of people would be willing to send $20 your way.
No dent to our pockets, but it might keep you off the street for a couple of days.

Shit. I hadn't thought of that, and after Craigslist sales I'm actually surprisingly close to being able to afford rent at a cheaper place, it wouldn't take much. Bad news is I just finished packing my desktop into a duffle bag, insanely tight fit, and now I'm using my smart phone (no phone service, wifi still works fine).... and my old PayPal account is from my D3 RMAH never-buy always-sell MF-farm days, and thus it isn't on this newer phone. I remember creating some silly email address specifically for the account.

That and its 1:37am local.

Oh well, guess I'll unpack it and get on it. I actually did a homeless shelter dry run Thanksgiving night as a preview, and I'm not looking forward to that shit. Asked this one guy if I could swap drinks with him (fruit punch vs orange) and his reply was "teeth have an aesthetic value people don't appreciate." Protip: don't be like me and respond with "I appreciate it."

Take the temp work. Easier to find work when you are working. (HR's tend to look at periods of unemployment badly.)

But take heart. We came close to losing our house shortly after buying it when we both lost our jobs. I took several shit jobs just to make ends meet without being able to afford food, but knew we would survive.

Stay positive. Smile at the shit job even if it hurts.

Accept Charity. Someday you will repay it and more.

I'm actually going to go down that route instead. I'd rather give people something in exchange for their kind donations. (Plus, determined PayPal was linked to an account closed for excessively overdrawn.) The question is: what do you want from ScrotieMcB? Feel free to submit project ideas.

This is way too harsh for the fun-loving off-topic I'm used to.
I've been in those shoes before and it's scary.
