League can be same as Standart and HC or 1 year league, or NO currency can be used AFTER league end or wipe all after league end or something else... thats for no bonus drops come to standart/hc.

Or make it much easier to trade. Any time now you can stop pretending there's some kind of strong barter economy out there. Fans make their own auction houses and everyone uses chaos like gold. No real bartering of any importance happens, it's actually just the same endgame wealth-hoarding bullshit that every MMO ends up with. It's a bottomless pit of dissatisfaction that you have to deal with it if you want to get back to the part of the game you actually enjoy.

Make Hardcore self found, and Softcore ladder non-selffound


Or - maybe GGG can try it for a 1 week race - see how people like it...


They don't even have to change anything, just, throw a 1 week race with all trading disabled, and disabling loot allocating to other people when they leave instances, etc.

However I would like to see someway to share between close friends. Say a guild with a max of 10 or so people that would have limitations on how often you could add/drop people in the guild. Even if you couldn't do the sharing amongst close friends, I would rather have a league with no sharing/trading with increased drop rates. I don't enjoy the current trading system, but I use it because I find it necessary with the amount of time I have to play and the current drop rates.

The SFL sounds really good to me. However it would break the community into smaller and smaller pieces. Make groups harder to find etc. Playing in a group is something I think I might do in the future but I mainly play solo now. The group thing sounds interesting but I fear that I will be ridiculed for not trading for better gear which is of no interest to me (the trading bit).

What they don't know is I have upgrades stashed but I don't want to play the Socket lottery just so I can use them.

I like the idea of self-found and I play it pretty exclusively. I think I traded for a staff once last season. But that was it.

The issue for me is not the drops or the crafting but how insanely complicated it is to actually get an upgrade and then get the sockets correct. Even if something nice drops I have to spend a chunk of currency (which I don't have) just getting the sockets I need. When in the end I am just going to vendor or drop that item when I am done with it. I would prefer to just be able to use the skills I want when I get an upgrade.

To be honest the whole thing could be solved with 1 piece of currency that copied sockets from a previous piece but made the piece you copy the sockets to like a mirrored item ie can't use currency on it and can't trade it or sell it.

A vendor recipe for 20 fuse, 20 jewel, 20 chrome + an item with sockets would give a currency item that you can use on another item to give it the exact same sockets and "soul bound" the item. <-- this would fix just about everything I hate about playing self-found in the current leagues.

Have it hardcore with greatly increased drop rates. However, all items come with a binding curse; once you put an item in a slot, it stays there permanently.
