[Poll] Self Found League - SFL /FINISHED

D)

Also, for me self found means that's it's supposed to be harder than the game with trading allowed. Most people asking for a SFL want an easier game, massive drops increase, easier crafting, and all that.

Judging by the numerous posts and reactions this theme is getting regularly, and judging by rate similar posts rise often one would think that there is A LOT of interest going for SFL, and that if not most at least very high percentage of players would definitely want to see SFL introduced.

However this might not be the case. Often the loud minority leaves the impression of like "everybody would want it" but in reality only small number (few percentages?) of players are strongly in favor.

Please bear in mind that task of creating such league is far more comprehansive that untrained eye might think. Serious adjustions should be made SFL to work properly (re adjusting traders goods, drop rates, orbs, skill tree, difficulty..) have no mistake about it, it's serious work.

Final question would it be worth it? Remember, devs can do THAT or working on next patch, more uniques, new spells and more content in general. Is it worth it?

Remember, in true SFL all trading and item interactions between player should be permanently disabled. Permanent PA of diablo type should be imposed. Not only that other players cannot take your gear on floor but they even don't see it. Even if you drop it from INV. Well I would say one thing - at least we wold get rid of RMTers, traders, flippers and insanely rich bas*ards ;) That's big thumb up :)

So this is poll, PLEASE VOTE, it should offer some answers. Please take 2 seconds to respond. Please do not make comments or discussions, all we need here is one single letter, ie. percentage of interested players. We will all (hopefully) be smarter after this and if someone after today maker requests for SFL, providing link to this post could offer him a good answer.

A) I am STRONGLY in favor of SFL, even if it would make other content coming late!
B) I like the idea, wouldn't mind having it put if the price /delay is reasonable.
C) I don't care one way or the other. I could try it but I wouldn't be losing sleep if
. . it's never introduced.
D) I don't care for SFL and it would be bad idea of slowing development down because of
. . handful of SFL fanatics

Aren't Races self found?

I play self found and for a ladder totally committed to that reason; all that's saying is "SCREW YOU PLAYERS WHO WANT TO TRADE".

Firstly I would state, there is absolutely nothing wrong with trading, more power to anyone who likes that. But if I could choose between "ladders", one with trading and one without trading -> I would choose the one without trading. That's my preference, which is a very polite way of saying: "SCREW YOU PLAYERS WHO WANT TO TRADE!!!".

Hah! Too funny!

Sorry for discussing this but the minority who don't want an SFL always have lame reasons for being against it and they are posting their 2¢ so we can't let Wookie win this time.

The problem is that people have different ideas of a SFL. What exactly does the OP describe that's not achievable currently and different?

You'll be asking for increased drops, to start with right? This is understandable because drops can suck ass in the game and the expense in terms of time/reward isn't for everyone. The way it scales in end-game doesn't really help.

It boils down to difficulty (a vague term, to say the least), which trading invariably influences.

So, what if I wanted to play in a SFL but that has roughly the same drops as currently (even lower for certain things) but adjusted end-game accessibility, no shared stash (and limited/no stash), no permanent allocation yet still supporting partying (albeit restricted)?

That's still some form of SFL right, but it's not quite the same as the one you'd want, or the OP describes.

What exactly do people want, I generally struggle to relate, is it just instanced crazy drop fests without trading, or at the least rebalanced to account for no trading?

I don't think high quality/quantity crazy loot drops is what any of us want. Loot overload is just as bad as loot starvation. We got that last year with TL2 and at first it was wow and great, but after awhile it was only set items being saved and everything else was vendor trash. The Goldilocks zone for the SFL (IMHO) is for slightly higher quality loot drops at the higher levels than we have now with substantially higher quantity of crafting orbs (Jeweller, fusing, chance, chaos, alch, etc.) across the board to give us the power to craft our own items. There doesn't need to be any nerfing on the monster side of things, the toughness of the bosses is already good and mostly balanced with a few exceptions. GGG just needs the SFL to empower us to craft our own great gear to survive and thrive and thus maximize fun for time spent at the higher levels. The low levels of Normal and Cruel are already fun to cruise through with a multitude of builds. The SFL should extend that up into the high levels by giving us more of what we want, CRAFTING ORBS.

Just as I ignore Nemesis league and only play the Domination league, so too can the hardcore no-lifers ignore the SFL. If GGG wants to be neutral here they should add 2 permanent leagues, Self-Found and Ironman so the really hardest of the hardcore players can play an uber difficult league.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

B) But what they could do as well is make it so each currency has a vendor recipe except for mirror, then make it to the point where we can choose to craft a item or buy one for about the same price point.
