Oro's Righteous Fire Marauder (61k RF dps) [UPDATED FOR 1.1]

The Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIfpMFXpjhQ

This build is a Righteous Fire sustainable life based tank. Righteous Fire does insane amounts of burning damage by stacking life nodes and grabbing burning damage passives. Righteous Fire is your main damage source and Flameblast is used to kill totems.

PASSIVE TREE *UPDATED FOR 1.1*

In order to sustain Righteous Fire, you need almost every single life regen node on the skill tree. You also need the 'increased effect of Auras you cast' nodes near the Templar to increase the effect of Vitality. We also need Elemental Adaptation to increase our maximum fire resist. We grab Elemental Equilibrium because we use Ice Nova with Cast on Damage Taken to debuff the mobs so they have -50% fire resist(Righteous Fire doesn't proc EE because it is a degen). We grab Iron Reflexes because it gives us tons of armor from Grace and turns the evasion from Alpha's Howl into armor. We grab the frenzy charge because we will be using The Blood Dance boots that give us 1% life regen per frenzy charge.
Righteous Fire scales with life and burning/fire damage. Because of this, we want tons of life nodes. We will have 90% maximum fire resist to sustain Righteous Fire from Rise of the Phoenix(8%), Purity of Fire(5%) and Elemental Adaptation(2%). With a Ruby Flask activated, this build is immune to fire damage.

-PROS
With the new DoT changes, you can grab the burning/fire damage nodes and get TONS OF DAMAGE with 0 drawbacks. This build is immune to desync and physical/elemental reflect. This is because Righteous Fire is a degen and does not do any physical OR elemental damage. This build is also insanely tanky with tons of life and armor. You can also fap while playing this build because all you do is run around and pick up items.

-CONS
Righteous Fire cannot hurt totems because it's an aura and aura's don't effect totems. This build is also insanely expensive to get maximum effectiveness out of it. This build is highly not recommended for new players due to gear requirements and the nature of the build. If you get close to anyone with the Discipline aura you will start to take more damage from Righteous Fire. There are TONS of maps this build is UNABLE to run. Any map with the following suffixes you won't be able to run at all: Players are cursed with Elemental Weakness / -x% maximum Player Resistances / Players have Blood Magic / Players recover Life, Mana and Energy Shield 50% slower / Players cannot regenerate Life or Mana / Players are cursed with Vulnerability. Because of this, the build is better suited to farm Piety/Dominus than running maps. However, the few maps this build can run are a breeze.

I leveled using Infernal Blow with Facebreakers, Meginord's Girdle and some flat physical jewelry. You can switch to using Righteous Fire at level 65 if you grabbed enough life regen nodes and have the the Rise of the Phoenix unique shield with high enough leveled Purity of Fire and Vitality gems to sustain it.

GEAR
Spoiler

The only required item is the Rise of the Phoenix. You need Rise of the Phoenix because it gives you the extra +8% maximum fire resist. Alpha's Howl helps with Vitality's regen and with Empower and a level 20 Purity of Fire it pushes your maximum fire resist to 90%. Aurumvorax is perfect for this build because we don't really benefit from any weapons at all. The resists you gain from Aurumvorax allows you to stack cheap max life items/item rarity. If you have insane gear and don't want to do this, Divinarius AoE will help as well. With Aurumvorax, we can afford to use two Andvarius rings for the increased item rarity. Ideally you'd want to have The Blood Dance boots with 4 off colors, but you can do just 3 without the Increased AoE gem. A legacy Kaom's Heart is ideal, but may be completely unobtainable for some players. The new Kaom's Heart is good as well, especially because of the 40% fire damage it gives. If you cannot afford either, a good armor/life piece will do. For everything else we want as much armor, life, and resists as possible. The Ruby Flasks have curse immunity because if you do get cursed by Elemental Weakness/Flammability/Vulnerability you will start to die from Righteous Fire. You have a Seething Dousing Flask for emergencies so you can stop Righteous Fire and gain lots of life back quickly. Quicksilver is your main way of moving from pack to pack with this build. We have 2 Redbeaks in our weapon swap so we can get 200% increased RF damage. We switch to our Redbeaks and cast Purity of Elements linked to blood magic to get low life, then cast RF and switch to the Rise of the Phoenix before our health rises to gain the 200% increased damage from low life. Then use a Ruby Flask to get back to full life and you're good to go.
GEMS
Spoiler
3L: Flameblast - Blood Magic - Concentrated Effect
3L: Cast on Damage Taken(lvl 1) - Enduring Cry(lvl 5) - Rejuvenation Totem(lvl 5)
*Alpha's Howl* 4L: Reduced Mana - Vitality - Purity of Fire - Grace
4L: Cast on Damage Taken(lvl 1) - Vulnerability(lvl 3) - Ice Nova(lvl 8) - Increased Area of Effect
4L: Righteous Fire - Increased Area of Effect - Concentrated Effect - Increased Burning Damage
*Redbeak* 3L: Purity of Elements - Blood Magic(lvl 1)

Your Righteous Fire is linked with Increased Area of Effect, Concentrated Effect, and Increased Burning Damage because nothing else helps with the damage of it. You link your auras in your Alpha's Howl so you can get the +2 aura bonus. Getting R-R-R-G on Alpha's Howl will take a lot of chromatics. You use Flameblast to kill the things your Righteous Fire can't such as totems. When you take damage, you will cast Vulnerability, Ice Nova, Enduring Cry and Rejuvenation Totem. The reason I use Vulnerability is because you can cast it for 0 cost from Cast When Damage Taken and it has full effectiveness at all levels for this build(Cursed enemies take 40% increased damage from Damage Over Time effects).

BANDITS

GAMEPLAY

You run around and burn everything in seconds. This includes rares, bosses, and Dominus. You also have an ungodly amount of life and tons of armor. If you ever need to regen you can stop your Righteous Fire with a Dousing Flask and gain insane regen.

Thanks for reading and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

You can cast RF then weapon swap...and still have it up...

...You want to put it in a Searing Touch.
-RF
-Inc Burn
-Inc AoE
-Empower
-Culling(Damage % should work...if it's not then it's bugged)
Why don't people consider Ambu's Charge? You get 2% life regen, resistance, and endurance charges.

It only gives life regen on low life.

Oh right. Would it be viable if you were running blood magic with your auras?

I hadn't thought of it because you really don't need the other links. Culling Strike doesn't work but Empower and Enhance would effect your spell damage for EK. And the damage on Searing Touch is nuts so that'll work really great. Going to work toward getting at least a 4L one for now. Thanks for this great idea!

Yeah, on a low life build you could use it, but if you have Shavronne's it would be better 100% of the time.
Ambu's Charge isn't used because it doesn't have life....109 life from chest is huge for burning damage.
This build is exactly similar t my own that i'm running since OB. Really interesting choice of items, Ididn't thought about that unique scepter but i'll give it ashot as soon as Ican find one.

Also it's totally possible to run map with elemental weakness, you just need to overstack fire resist.

Finally using the templar aura nodes, Alpha's Howl and empower. You should be able to reach lvl23 of purity of fire wich (according to the wiki) give you +5% max resist wich change to +6% giving you 91%.

Using the unique shoes blood dance gave you an extra +3% life regen wich make this build self sustanable.

Using the unique shoes blood dance ou also get an extra +3% life regen wich make this build self sustanable.

RF builds are already self sustaining...don't need the unique boots.
