Latency from Australia - Unacceptable.

Not even major companies like Activision-Blizzard can afford to run servers in Australia. Blame your terrible ISPs and datacenters, not GGG.

Think you need to re-check that. Even Hi-rez with their Tribes Ascend Free to Play are running Oceanic Based servers.

Tribes: Ascend's Oceanic servers are basically bargain bin, suffered from constant crashes and poor ping, and often were just servers located in America tagged for Oceanic use at times.
Used to get consistent 200ms latency, now i get frequent 2000ms spikes.

No its not my ISP thank you

Unfortunately it's not the GGG ISP customers that should be the concern. With more and more people trying this game out pre Open and getting a bad experience GGG run the risk of losing a base of players that might not come back unless it is addressed now.

GGG should rent a boat, a submersible & get to fixing that cable ASAP then!

I'm more talking about putting servers in countries that are supporting them like Australia and NZ but thanks for your childish input, it is truly valued and appreciated.

GGG has already commented on this, they said servers in Australia is basically financially unviable for them.

Only the biggest of the big (in this case companies like Valve) manage to get australian servers. Servers here are terribly expensive for bandwidth cost (and games like PoE take up a ridiculous amount of bandwidth)

Living in Sydney, on TPG through the SG gate-way and I've never seen under a 200 ping since day one of open beta when I started. SG gate-way is the same as any east coast USA game I've ever played, 220+ ping.

This is quite disheartening since I haven't been playing this game at all due to this 'severed cable' issue; but to hear my ping will probably never even fall below 200 is a massive let down.

The game is fantastic, ye the lag is frustrating but it's still worth to play. Just don't try HC =/

TPG doesn't have an underground cable to Singapore, where as ISP's like Telstra, Optus, iiNet and Internode do

TPG players have always had bad ping to Singapore for this reason (well not bad, but its around 200 because it has to go to guam and then route to singapore instead of going directly through perth
the aus server is having a terrible time at the moment, almost non stop desyncs and almost always 300+ms then 10ms then 300+, average about 340ms
