Sigh. Hopefully Chris you do what dota 2 has done, open up australian server/s. The australian fanbase is quite large for this game in terms of growth per week. I myself have gotten 8 people into the game and thats just mates alone. It will grow and for this kind of game such high ping is absolutely demoralizing and on the brink of unplayable, hell you even lagg when placing items.. and removes the ability to play hardcore mode.

Japan -> Singapore is pretty horrible recently too. I lag so much that now I just get use to attacking an enemy and leaving it behind and walking away as it explodes 0.5-0.7 seconds later even though my ping is only approx 200. Now I just go to America Server which is slightly better around the same ping. I really wish for a Australia server though.

So does 300+ ping render the game completely unplayable?
The reason I am asking is because I am stuck on a dial-up connection in Western Australia (yes, you read that right) and I was kinda hoping to play through this game with a couple of friends. I used to play quite a bit of Diablo II with ping ranging from 300-500ms, although I could never survive in Hell difficulty, even with a fully twinked Hammerdin. |

I play hardcore sitting just over 200ms with no issues (33 ranger so far).
