Latency from Australia - Unacceptable.

Anyone know if this has been fixed yet? (SEA cable) I notice a 220 ms ping when in a singapore gateway game. pretty much the same as if I select the american one. Unsure what sort of ping I should get from it....

Sucks to be a gamer in NZ even for games that are made here =(

i've always had a pretty consistent 195-200 ms latency throughout CB and into OB (NZ here too, playing in offpeak time @ 10pm NZDT using the Americas gateway) however over the past couple of days it's raised up to ~ 225+ with regular spikes into the many hundreds.

have to admit i'm somewhat used to the lag and delay of all my actions, but when I can notice lag spikes in-game something really must be going wrong. are things just getting more unstable lately?
According to iinet website the Perth - Singapore line eta is 19th Feb. So a week from now hopefully.
Tin foil hats are a lie propagated by the aluminium industry.
Indeed Aussies are been affected by the lag due to a Cut in the Sea-Me-We 3 cable between Perth and Singapore
A repair ship, the ASEAN Explorer is set to arrive on the fault site on February 7, with an estimated resolution date of February 11-14.

From Perth, Aus before the break i was getting around 50-70ms, although now around the 230 mark, this is because they are redirecting Perth -> Sydney -> Hong Kong before getting to Singapore

But rest easy people, should be back to normal soon.

Looks like the ETR has been pushed to the 22/2 -

Unfortunately it's not the GGG ISP customers that should be the concern. With more and more people trying this game out pre Open and getting a bad experience GGG run the risk of losing a base of players that might not come back unless it is addressed now.

GGG should rent a boat, a submersible & get to fixing that cable ASAP then!

I'm more talking about putting servers in countries that are supporting them like Australia and NZ but thanks for your childish input, it is truly valued and appreciated.

Not even major companies like Activision-Blizzard can afford to run servers in Australia. Blame your terrible ISPs and datacenters, not GGG.

Think you need to re-check that. Even Hi-rez with their Tribes Ascend Free to Play are running Oceanic Based servers.
