[1.1.0] Spectral Melter (Spectral Throw Crit Shadow )

This build does dish out some decent dps.
I'm currently lvl 78 in nemesis and do about 12,5k dps with dual strike and 2k dps with spectral throw according to tooltip. I have a really bad 5L chest that I use for dual strike rather than spectral throw, since I have high enough clear speed on normal mob packs anyway, and getting a 5th gem on dual strikes for rare mobs and bosses felt like a better use. Once you start getting your damage up you don't need any mana potions, mana leech gems or clarity, the 2% from Mind Drinker and the 20% regen from Mental Acuity is enough to sustain your mana. I also run Purity plus either Grace, Hatred or Haste depending on content and wether I run solo or in a group. This build would really take off if you can get enough life leech on your gear to free up another gem slot in the links for both your main attacks, and with high end gear you will do as much if not more damage than 2h users. The big downside is that this build is way more end game oriented than the regular 2h builds. You will reach your power spike WAY later, and it will be more of a pain to progress, especially solo. It's nothing super fancy, I'm running full group found (currently our group is me and 1 more guy).
The dps I wrote is with hatred, forgot I had it active. I would also have run my multistrike gem in the double strike link if it wasn't close to impossible to roll 1g 3r 1b in a pure evasion chest. IGN: @eredia

if you want to free the lifeleech socket i recommend Carnage Heart.It's cheap and it's really good.Don't get intimidated by the 25%reduced hp affix.At 10k hp it reduces about 800(i don't have 10k hp im just sayin)

this is my stream.just got to fellshrine act 2 and i'm going to farm it alot cuz i don't have hp to go further.I also need a dagger cuz mine is crap(no attack speed) I don't have cast when dmg taken so i can't use molten shell and enduring cry. if you have questions or want some gear i find and i'm going to sell it to shop,ask for it. Respecced to this build and I have a few questions:) What are your main attacks? ST for ranged double strike for meleerange? As I'm going lifebuild what are the other stats I need to focus on? Evasion? Thx |

yea,st for aoe/range attacks and double for single target/mele.projectile weakness and emfeeble work really good with them...emfeeble when you attack mele a rare mob and pw when you aoe with st.i find this way better than crit weakness.
stats...well,go for hp evasion resists or armor eva combo.correct me if i'm wrong but after iron reflexes evasion gives more armor than armor due to incr evasion nodes(ex 200 evasion gives more evasion than 200 armor).

i have a similar build, except i dont take IR but dodge and evasion mind drinker is optional if you dont have mana leech on item acrobatics is optional if you have hyrri's ire Gear
