Fuse record / i broke rng

I think there should be a system where you can buy orb of linking for x number of fusing orbs.

100 for 3 link
300 for 4 link
Etc

Same for jewellers and even chromatic.

Keep the rng for other orbs.

It doesnt need to be that easy.

What I think is that you should be able to buy orbs with much increased chances of linking. So say, 1000 fusings could get you an orb from the vendor that averaged a 20% chance to 6link, or whatever. The exact numbers would need to be worked out, but at least itd be far better than it is now. They could also then vastly reduce the chance of getting it without those, and it would actually become HARD to get a 6l, instead of just random.

That would be ok to. Something to improve it but still keep it hard.

So uhm i made a topic about me 6 linking 2 chests with 18 fuses a while back, and i did it again. but now it took 18 fuses to 6 link 1 item!

I sold someone a meginords for 20 fuses, used them on it, had 2 fuses left and the first thing that came to mind : " FUCK why wasn't i streaming, again"

You didn't break rng, and if you really think you did then you haven't even figured out what rng means yet.

You spectacularly missed the point, but the reality is if he is telling the truth this post does show that RNG is broken.

You can 6L 5 items with 5 fusings. You can use 500 fusings and not 6L 1 item. That is rng. It is not broken. Rng is W.A.I.
Peter has 1 000 dollars

Bob has 0

In avarage they have 500 each.

Thats how people are comming up to some numbers of fusings you "have to spend to get" a 6-L

Thats an RNG and that how it works. It can't be broken.

The main question - does this system fit this game?

Some people say "No", some people say "yes"

How it will be its for GGG to decide. But my personal opinion is that curret system punishes only newbies, bores people who know it well, and denys crafting for 90% of community.

I personaly feced this problem. RNG wasn't too kind to me, and i'm in situation when i can't buy anything better than i have, nor i can craft anything better. Only grind. Some call it hardcore. I call it shitty system.

Game should give at least something to start with. A 5-L rare item at the end of cruel as quest reward could be that thing.
This discussion lacks one information: It's neither necessary nor intended, that everyone has a 6L. It's luxury.

If you really want to have one, then good luck with the lottery. Some get it soon, some have to buy a lot of lots (sounds strange :))

Indeed, people don't seem to understand that 6links are luxury items, and a viable build only needs 4 links.

Now i just need to get the ferari of PoE
Hi everyone,

I don't think that the RNG has been broken, not at all. I fully believe that the RNG here is SO good, that it makes you see patterns where there aren't any. In theory, it should be JUST as likely to 6L something in a single fuse, as it is to waste 10,000 fuses trying.

The player who started this thread encouraged me to try with my bow, which I had no intention to do given the horror stories I had heard, and after starting the latest try with 39 fuses, I ended up with this bow, and one fuse remaining:

So, folks, the moral of the story is that encryption specialists could take lessons from whoever designed the RNG for this game.

Fyis.
Congrats Fyis,

Not a 6 link but still noteable, took 27 fuses total.

Fitting music, easy does it.

Used fuses as i got them, and the last one caught on stream and highlighted
