I got to Mericless A3 without dying using this. Then I got silly trying to fly too close to the sun.
Passive Tree It's Pretty Straight forward, go for Claw Leech Nodes, then Life, then Acro. Current Items:

The Blood Dance being the only Note Worthy item. Other than that its straight forward: Evasion, Life, Resistance The great thing is that with Cyclone you gain so much life that you cant Die really. And it lets you swap from Dual Strike > Flicker > Cyclone Or just about any other Dex Claw attack you want. I had originally used a Claw and Shield. Untill level 60. Then I switched to Dual Claws and Dual Blocking because I wasn't doing enough Damage. The only killer is Freezing, if I could get something to mitigate Freezing it would be nice. I can solo Face Tank Piety and run maps. I only got Level 67 Maps so far. Planned Passives Bandit Rewards: N: Skill C: Skill N: Frenzy It is a very fun build for me, because it's in the mix. Versatile, in that you can mix and match anything as long as you keep the Claws and Blood Rage. And efficient. You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world,
and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches. |

Well, I do have a lil' witchie that might qualify here, not that it matters if it doesn't, if someone else tries it, it's worth the typing. I can guarantee it's extremely cheap, it works and it's pretty much the only summoner I had any fun playing.
It's an area reave / summon witch, life based for giggles. Doesn't really have trouble with anything, if she died a couple of time that was me being stupid and going into docks with 20% fire resist. Playstyle is simple, summon your zombie bodyguards and shift+sweep the screen with reave. For bosses place skelly totem, stack vipers with inc duration on him and reave away. Using only two auras, hatred and vitality to make minions last a bit longer, determination instead of vitality if enemies start hitting hard. As I said, not really tanky but she survived fetid and tidal seven levels below area so she can take a rhoa charge or two. I guess you can only get better mileage out of her with shinier gear, mine is self-found-crafted and really crap. Passive tree as it should be at level 61 Pile of junk

I'll give this one a shot! This is my super cheap CI Quad Curse Support Summoner! It boasts high survivability and can EASILY get 6.5k ES + without spending 1 exalt at all =]. As a supporting class, it is very fun to play as a core team player. Providing 4 curses, greatly increases cleartime and survivability of your friends. Also, your minions provide meat shields and your spectres can do even more damage, or provide even MORE tanking! People say summoners are boring, but having quad curses keeps you doing something at all times! Try keep up with your team, casting 4 different curses on each enemy before your team actually kills the pack haha. By using 2 Doedre's damning, 4 curses can be cast and the hit to your resistances (can't use 2 rings) is fought with a neat trick.
NO 4l IS NEEDED! Having 1 is helpful, but is definitely not needed :). Having 3l items is enough for this build! Purity + Clarity + Reduced mana, Raise spectre and 2 other support gems, Raise zombie + minion life + melee splash, Spell totem + summon skeletons There are the core links needed in this build. Of course you can link more, they help, but they are not needed for this build! I use clarity, purity and discipline for this build. Clarity is needed as cursing is mana heavy and the mana regen is needed greatly. Purity and discipline are self explanatory :). Also, this is every hardcore viable. Here is my current passive skill tree I made a decision to not get the gravepact notable as it needs minion damage nodes to get to it, and it is slightly out of the way. As this is a hardcore character I'd rather go for absolute survivability and grab nice ES nodes. There is a good reason why this build is so cheap, and it uses some nifty uniques.

Aurumvorax can be used if you have low resistances (1-3 chaos!), and if you have some decent resistances (with purity, this is quite easy to get) you can use Ephemeral Edge (1-3 chaos AGAIN!) which gives you a crapton of ES! This is my current gear with 6.5k ES. This entire gear set costs less than one exalt!

As you can see, even with my crap gear I currently have 6.5k ES Very fun group play build that I made. This was also my first build that got to end game HC, and i'm very happy with it so far. It has very slow clear time solo, but insanely increases clear time and survivability.It is very versatile and can be played with almost any build. I have every curse on my gear except for punishment and the element specific curses which are very niche. In the end, this boasts high survivability, one of the cheapest builds out there, straightforward but not boring, and of course, is a great support class which is what I was going for. You can easily clock in with 6k+ ES in maps as you can use Ephemeral edge which is like another slot for armour, as a good weapon isn't needed! When my gear gets good enough I plan to use Windscream for penta cursing, but then the build isnt that cheap anymore as you need to have quite good gear to make up for the ES hit :p. My fun entry build
I listed cheap alternatives to all items along the way. Playable in maps. Low reflect. Cheap mana cost. Fast cast speed and fun. Damage output: about half Chaos, half lightning. Damage spell 4L armor: lvl 1 Ice Spear - GMP - Added Chaos - Added Lightning 5L armor: lvl 1 Ice Spear - GMP - Added Chaos - Added Lightning - Life Leech Get at least quality GMP, Added Lightning and Added Chaos if you can. A lvl 1 Ice Spear is used because build is focused around high cast speed (GMP, ring, amu and passives) Hit bosses with 3 of 5 spear for max dmg and fast shock stacking. Hit rares with 2 of 5 spear for max dmg and fast shock stacking. Always try to hit with 2nd form of ice spear. Spell totem - Ice Spear - LMP - Faster Casting Utility Frost Wall - Increased Duration Raise Zombie - Minion Life - Minion and Totem Elemental Resistance Shoot through Frost Wall for added protecting. Zombies will help u always hit with 2nd form ice spear. Auras Reduced Mana Cost - Discipline - Clarity - Grace Blood Magic - Purity - Determination Curses Projectile Weakness Critical Weakness Enfeeble Use Projectile Weakness on low health targets. 2nd form ice spear can pierce and kill 10 targets at once. Use Critical Weakness on high health targets for massive dmg output. Passive Tree link If you cant go low life. Take CI instead of Pain Attunement until you can. Bandits Normal: Alira +40 Mana. Cruel: Alira +4% Cast Speed. Merci: Kraityn +1 Maximum Frenzy Charge. Items Ring 1: cast speed + resist + HP Ring 2: Death Rush or same as ring 1 Amulet: with high crit multi + cast + (resist + HP) Gloves: Maligaro's Virtuosity or cheap Facebreaker Boots: The Blood Dance or use ES boots (and Blood Rage if you can) Belt: resist + ES Helmet: High ES helmet Armor: High ES Armor Weapon 1: high spell dmg crit dagger Weapon 2: high spell dmg crit dagger Low life when u can afford: Weapon 1: Redbeak Weapon 2: high spell dmg crit dagger Armor: Shavronne's Wrappings You can use Low life without Shavronne's Wrappings in farming zones: Legde, FellShrine and Docks as there is no Chaos dmg. Cheese Cheese items for bosses if you have trouble survive: Aurumvorax up to 60 all res Ephemeral Edge up to 50% Inc Max ES Brutus: Ephemeral Edge, high ES shield, Determination, Discipline, Grace. Merviel: Ephemeral Edge, high ES shield, Purity, Discipline, Grace, max cold res rings or other cold items. Vaal: Ephemeral Edge, high ES shield, Purity, Discipline, max lightning res rings or other light items. Piety: Ephemeral Edge, Aurumvorax, Purity, Discipline, Grace.
