Any one who feels like D3 will NEVER be good due to the lack of making builds?

" I disagree completely. If I saw a guy running around and doing well with a skill that most people don't touch, in this case Frost Nova, I would think thats really cool and be somewhat jealous that the person has a cool unique build that not many others use. In D3 you feel required to only use the universally awesome builds to actually be able to farm inferno decently. You have a bunch of no life kids who got a hold of their moms credit card running around with top of the line gear that they bought on the RMAH and the think they are soooooo cool. I have no idea if Frost Nova could be viable end game or not but my point is that it would be awesome if someone pulled it off. The point of POE is to have fun, the point of D3 is to farm the highest content possible with cookie cutter builds and to be pretty bored while doing it. Standard Forever

In D3, because everyone can instantly change their spec, there is no incentive to make them balanced... because you cannot balance them all without making them all exactly the same, players will always gravitate to the best combinations.
In POE, this is not true. If someone makes an Ice Nova build, and the build is sub-par or even bad, they can tell the GGG team that it is bad and potentially get a fix. Other players will not be able to readily change to this build if the fix makes it OP... they might not even know the build unless it was made public. There is a hidden upside that players sometimes find frustrating, but players are encouraged to try different builds and new characters both with builds in general, and new temporary leagues. Some builds are going to be better than others... and this is part of the gameplay.. figuring out the system. This provides additional opportunities to play through the game in different ways... something that really does not exist if you can readily change between the most OP builds. " Its just amazing how that fucking old game is still being played so much... Its both good and sad. Sad because we would expect fans to be gaming D3 right now. Good because Blizzard gets a lesson..... or not since they only care about money.... ):. A game from 2001 (2000 without expansion.) that is still patched/ getting ladder resets............ Dont you see how fucking wierd that is? Again i think its both good and bad.... Also i still notice Diablo 2 being sold in game stores such as Gamestop...... Seriously.... its sooo fucking wierd.... I was in a store that was selling Diablo 2, but not Diablo 3..... I couldnt believe it.... |

I'm just very curious about, how the sales for their expansion will go.

would have thought this topic would be buried already. The short answer is yes but does it even matter at this point. Its slowly trickling down the drain and I question the motif for the remaining trolls on the bnet forums.
The game is slowly trickling down the sewers, you don't even hear about D3 from any gaming sites so what is the reason? Hope? Every patch that comes out I see the numbers rise a little bit and then take a huge nose dive. Because hatred is all we have left?
Jay Wilson doubled it, and that can never be forgotten or forgiven. |

" I dont know if u can call it Hatred. I think the main reason that me and other people make threads about D3 is that we dont want to just sit and do nothing. We liked D1 and D2, and we are not gonna sit like little noobs/kids and just forget everything about the game. You know, people make reviews for a reason... Some make reviews to get more money. Some make a review seen from the perspective of true fans, but those are rare. |
