Leveling from there would be taking either life nodes or more damage.

I can't say I agree with some of your build. Here is my scion blender for comparison. It's very similar to the original duelist build. Extra points can be shifted to resists or hps nodes as necessary.

I am wondering why this build does not have Vaal Pact? Wouldnt the leech being applied instantly be helpful?

Yea same question plus I want to know why with as 6 and higher I still cant maintain my mana leach and cos of that I am always short on it??? I got 4% lm and 5% ls and have 4k dmg???

I see everyone asking about Dual Strike and Cyclone. But no one mentioned Reave. I think its awesome.

Get BoR. Put Reave + Multistrike + Conc Effect + BM in it. Get a nice sword, put it in off-hand. Buy Doon Cuebiyari, place it in main-hand. Enjoy your 20k+ dps aoe skill (i have 23k dps with non-leveled gems).

Same thing for Cleave. But you can also run Sword + Divinarius for 10% extra aoe; + Mightflay for +10 LGoH; + Ungil's Gauche for 20% extra block while DW; + Mortem Morsu for 20% extra dps from Poisonus Hit.

Vaal Pact costs 3 passive points more and negates all the life regen you have from nodes. And makes health flasks unusable. And to really work, requires some lifeleech from gear. Blood rage is dangerous because of no regen. Really, this keystone only helps some builds to not oneshoot themselves with aoe against reflect. Life Gain on Hit / Bloodseeker is a better healing source for this build.


The regen from mana leech is always happening with speed max_mana / 8 per second, no more, no less. If you have 20k dps, 500 mana and 10% leech, one second of attacks will put a healing over time effect on you that restores 62,5 mana per second and lasts 32 seconds (or until you are on full mana). Same goes for life leech, but the speed is max_health / 5

wouldnt it be more effective to commit to one type of weapon and spec those damage nodes instead of the general "10% phys. damage one hand" nodes?

for example, right at the duelist bottom you have 2 very nice sword circles for about 20% ias
and 80% phys dam.

ofc restricting yourself to one weapon type might not be fun for everyone. but for endgame goals maybe the more effective way to spend points?

When you go for hearth of oak it's better to go right instead of lift like you did. It cost the same amount of pount but on your way there is life and sword damage while on the way you took there's nothing.

Intresting way but you need to play with swords only then

I followed ItsMikes advice and bought a bloodseeker and switched to dual strike from cyclone and it works great. I probably would never switch back to cyclone.Dual strike barely ever desynches for me unlike cyclone which i get terrible desynch. My aoe is also A LOT better. i only had +2 aoe cyclone and thats after placing a +12 increased area of effect passive ( one in templar start). i now has +32 aoe with dual strike. I clear the screen so much quicker.

My stats atm at lvl 82 (my dual strike gems can be lvled)

-5703 HP 22% MORE life available passive tree(lvl 84)
-32kdps/9.28aps 96 more ed+ 3 ias available through passives (lvl 93)
-77allres -7 chaos
-6.4% life regen
-11500 armor
-33% block
-vaal pact (through blood seeker)

my current items:

Good guide just hit level 50

6k dps with dual strike

Only 1.5k life though, should probably upgrade some of my gear, been using most of it for almost 50 levels
