Hey Dmillz,

thank you really appreciate the help here. My problem so far is that Ive got a 5link dex armor which I wasnt able to get an RRR link so currently I am not using multistrike on my DualStrike, in fact I dont use it at all :-(.

As for my cyclone, the current setup is like cyclone/added fire dmg/phys dmg/life gain on hit --> the problem ... mana, since I am using either hatred aura or grace (with reduced mana ofc) my mana gets drained in split seconds if I try to use cyclone.
Ya cyclone is BRUTAL on the mana. Try to get something with 2% mana leech, this helps a lot. Cyclone will still drain really fast but if you click a little bit further away and keep 1-2 hybrid potions on your bar it should be enough. If you have some life leech on gear maybe switch your DS into your cyclone 4L and run DS/Melee Phys/Multistrike/Melee Splash. This will be a lot easier on mana then cyclone and probably clear faster than your current 5L setup.

When I was leveling the duelist, I ran DS until level 60. Only then did I switch to Cyclone due to better weapons. [Although I still use DS because I deal more damage and faster then Cyclone].

If you're planning on running Cyclone without a Soul Taker and are worried about mana; toss on a Blood Magic gem instead of Added Fire. You lose a good portion but you can make that up with higher DPS weapons. You won't have to worry about dying fast if you have the proper Resist nodes and gear (even decent will work). Life Gain on Hit recovers more health if you jump into a group then Blood Magic will drain your health.

I've done it from level 60-70 until I was able to afford the gear I wanted (with a couple of very lucky drops fortunately). After reaching that quota, I think you should then think and make a decision with which path you wish to stick. DS or Cyclone. Some people stick with both due to DS is faster at soloing a single target but it's up to taste. Don't try to gear up gems to boost your damage, it becomes hard to maintain without spamming pots. I suggest starting from Weapons and farming with BM until you become more self sustainable.

Logged after the patch and i see 50% smaller dual strike dps. Tought they nerfed ds but in patch notes i can see this: "Some skills now display average damage per skill use instead of DPS, as DPS would not make sense for them.". Guess that's a reason since killing speed seems to be the same like before patch.

Yup... same here - shows a lot less "DPS" but feels the same.

Yet, it still says "DPS" it confuses me.
Warband: IGN: Benko
I don't have BoR yet, so I'm using 5L chest (GGGRR) with mana leech - faster attacks - ds - melee splash - multistrike. On level 69 it is around 11k DS DPS without hatred. ~7 attacks per second.
On single target - I switch Melee Splash to Melee Physical Damage - around 16k DPS. And I use only one aura atm - Grace. All of that is more than enough for Docks, Piety, 66-67 maps in MF gear. No mana issues, no deaths with not-giving-a-**** playstyle (jump in the pack - kill - jump in the next one not looking at the mobs properties at all. if something is bad - drink all the flasks - all dead)

I don't know why it is recommended to use Added Fire Damage. On level 20 melee gives 10% more damage. And, according to tooltip, it is also way better. Not assuming the fact that fire damage could be resisted more frequently by the mobs. Ofc, that only applies to "before the BoR" times.

I'm confused on the tooltip change with Dual Strike. It still says DPS instead of average damage, but it's been almost halved for me. The paranoid part of my brain thinks I'm doing less damage. Anybody find something conclusive?
So Multistrike just got shit on...

explain
Just read patch notes. There is nothing about dual strike/multristrike. Just some skills like dual strike for example shows damage per use in dps line. Not even atk speed counted etc. I teset and dps seems to be the same like before the patch.

Yeah I came to the same conclusion after first sweating over a serious nerf on the damage shown on dual strike, and then 'phew'ing when I read the complete patch notes. :P
