Yes, a removal of one time users would be nice. I've checked my mail and account every day since the beta has started. if posting in the forum give you a sooner access to the beta, most people will just post rubbish posts. I don't have to much to say in the forum since I am not in the beta. I guess the rest of the people waiting have the same dilemma. By posting replys like this my chances of getting a key increase, but it is just a rubbish post...

Removing 1 time users would be dumb. You only need to be logged in once, after creating your account. People can still keep fully up to date on the game and be very interested in the game by what the devs post on here WITHOUT LOGGING IN AGAIN.

Well I have multiple accounts but that is because my GF and friend made accounts from my computer.
I do think that people that login and engage on the forums in a meaningful way should get a leg up over lurkers that can't be bothered to even login. Not that I have anything against lurkers (I was one at first) but you should get out what you put in. Last edited by Maledon#6357 on Aug 25, 2011, 4:02:26 AM

I agree with that you have said but also have you thought about when people that have only logged in once get the email telling them and then instantly get on the game. But on the other hand there isnt anything more frustrating seeing a person with the last login of July. I believe the timer is somewhat a good thing but they should make another genre of active member lottery.

Many players that have registered here for a beta key can get info and stay up to date via fansites/twitter/facebook and really have no reason to post comments tell they get beta. Thus using other outlets for the game info and streams for game vids can be a big reason to just stay away pre invite. Some one time users can yes just be inactive and a waste of a key bud how can you really know that?
As for players in the same house that signed up, are they one guy trying to cheat the system or are they real? (like my brothers share a household and both made accounts and wanna play) They dont post since their info come from me and they got youtube. Point being its hard to tell with the non posters, and because of these facts its not fair to remove then outright. But maybe the guys/gals that post "Give me a key" and small meaningless stuff can be put on a hold somehow from entering the beta timers lottery. I see all this talk about logging in 1 time and not logging in but still being able to keep up to date. I am sure they can, but do you really think for one second that they will actually take the time to log in and post problems that they ran into during their beta play? Really? You must be out of your mind if you think so. Also, a large majority of games that have forums typically don't allow you to see specific forums or even forums at all unless you are logged in. Not sure why more do not notice this but typically beta memebers need to log into the forums to post beta issues. Yet these people have yet to log in? Mmmhmmmm....

Eh... I thought the main complaint you guys had was the accounts with no post getting picked over the accounts with at least 1 post.
with the 10x rule in effect we should see 6/10 randoms that have at least 1 post... not quite the case. | |
I kinda agree with some people here, if you want to join the closed beta you should show some dedication by being active on the forums, that way he looks like a player that could be responsible concerning his feedback for the game.

" I don't see the reason in not removing them if they don't procure the means to keep their accounts. It's a testament to prove your willingness, and if you really want in the game you'll show at least some activity where the game itself resides. Just logging in once a week or even a month would alleviate this issue, and keep people off each others throats about this one little problem in any case. I'm sure you log in constantly to see your means to continue, and I bet you wish you could remove your other accounts now that you're in. Anyway I think trying to remove inactives is slightly irrelevant when all you could do is make it so that anyone who doesn't log in every 72 hours is taken off the timer until they log back in. If you're too busy to log back in then I think you shouldn't be looking for closed betas to test when you need lots of free time to do so and I'm sorry but find somewhere else to have fun while you wait for this game. So I kicked him in the head till he was dead! Nyeahahaha!
