@Aux : yes I understand gear on OS isnt easy to come by, and theres the cost issue. But if you had to do this on sc / hc, and put aside cost issue, I would take dragons build if i intended to do literally any maps without having to reroll some of them because i cant do them. And it also does more dps.

When all I was comparing initially was the tankiness of both, its like me speaking about animals and you start talking about boats. /facepalm. Also, your gear isnt cheap and you know it. If you spent max of 8chaos per gear, then I must get my ass on to OS asap because they are giving stuff away there. But thats bs and we both know it, a diamond supporter doesnt have any reason to buy average gear, as you put it that is. You could afford his stuff if you so wanted to, so the point is kinda moot. And ftr, the only thing that makes dragon's current gear cost so much (I wouldnt say 50 ex tho either) is ST axe, he had this build waaaay before it and just used blood magic instead of wed. It definitely can be an argument but in this case I gotta agree with mvm199 somewhat, at the end of the day you're looking to min-max a character to perfection and usually that involves playing a lot and trying to get the best gear possible for your char. Otherwise why would anyone decided to aim for Shavs on ONS if it costs too much or needs extreme luck?
Of course, you can look at how both Dragon's and Aux's build perform in difficult situations and you'll find that there is probably not that big of a difference except for the fringe cases where you're really forcing a ridiculous combination of mods. This is the part where one could ask himself why would I play the build that requires gear that I'm very unlikely to ever be able to afford while playing HC content when there are other builds that in general are equally tanky and require significantly less of an investment. And just so we're clear, Aux's gear in the OP is not cheap either, if you go shopping for similar pieces right now you'd still need several ex, luckily Alpha's is a lot cheaper now though. Obviously you can't compare it to the guy's gear in the vids posted by mvm, he practically has perfect gear in every slot so if he wouldn't be able to tank ridiculous bosses then that would be quite disappointing. To actually settle this argument Aux would have to acquire close to perfect gear for his ranger and then show off some boss tanking :P Edit: Dafuq is that Shrine video... (They are both rich guys, aux could have the other build if he wanted to. Its the soul taker that is the big bulk of price of the build, its NOT needed. He made that build way way before ST. ST lets you have some extra ele dps because blood magic --> WED. And this build is NOT cheap either. Dont buy his '8 chaos max per piece' bs either.) Well, Aegis Aurora is a central piece of the other build and without it it's not nearly as effective. AA can easily cost you over 10ex on ONS which is an amount of currency most players will struggle to reach. This build here definitely doesn't need a 10+ex investment on a single unique to be effective. It's an important distinction that has to be considered.

I gave his build credit. It's great, and I doubt mine could ever tank Piety or Magaera. I know you might not believe what I paid for my gear, but I'll go ahead and break down how much I spent for each piece.
6 chaos from Dominion Drop 5 Chaos 7 Chaos 5 Chaos 4 Chaos 8 Chaos 7 Chaos, 5l/6s myself Alched myself 2 Ex awhile ago during the exploit days. There is evidence on my past broadcasts of me purchasing all these for the given prices if you still don't believe, I don't know what I stand to lose by lying as you seem to believe. The gear is going for more now because more people are trying to play the build, and the specific stats needed are harder to come by now so the price will obviously rise. This build works from day 1 on a fresh server with 0 currency, which is why I designed it this way. Dragon's build requires AA and some crazy armor to function at all, let alone at the levels his character currently does. You can't compare the characters period, whether you compare tanking capabilities or price of the gear, I don't know why you can't understand that. IGN: Aux
