1 or 2 full respec, why i think it is good

I can see why new players want a respec.

1) they are used to it from other games
2) the idea of starting from scratch might seem daunting

BUT once you've made a few chars leveling doesn't take long at all, so while it might take you days to do get to level 40 the first time it will take a few hours when you know the content.

This game is ALL about re-rolling, just get used to it :D

Its blizzard fault really. I call them the "new generation of blizzard gamers" It really is a travesty what blizzard has done to them. logical thinking, reading, learning is almost a unreal concept for them. They been thought how to be lazy but I hope POE can re-educate them in the fine art of gaming
Once you die in hardcore 5 times you realize it's not hard to just create a new character and start a new build. Respecs will just make everyone flock to the fotm.

I sort of felt the same way at first - but I kind of like the emphasis it puts on planning and strategy when building characters. It forces you to put some real forethought into what you are doing and where you want to go. In the event that you need to do a bit of re-speccing (as the guy above me said) you do accumulate plenty of re-spec points and also orbs of regret. By the third difficulty on my Mara I had ~10 respec points and a few orbs which allowed me to totally redo part of his tree.

Agreed.
If you think I care what you think, you need more of a life than I do.

Nah, it's the gaming industry as a whole, companies aside from Blizzard that used to be awesome like Bioware caved to it as well, I something Dragon Age II is in essence a single-player MMO, and by that I mean they introduced specific roles and even threat which to me is an abomination.
Nothing to see here.
Orbs of Regret are a great currency. Why destroy them with full respecs? That would totally remove their purpose.
Don't be quite so elitist.
There isn't a problem with respecs as long as it's at a cost. This games cost is too high.
"Don't like your spec... reroll!" is a rather idiotic concept if you want people to play your game. Sure... some people may like it... but the "masses" won't. And I'm sorry... you HAVE to balance that if you want the game to be successful.

I understand both arguments.. but it is a HUGE turn off for me to have to reroll a possible new toon just because I came up with a new specialization concept. This game has an AMAZING passive tree.. we should be able to play with it. It's complexity would be BETTER used if we could swap things slightly more freely.
The Orb of Regret is a currency sink. Removing it will only cause inflation on other currencies.

You have 24 character slots for free. You can play with it all you want.
I can see why people would want a respec...

In closed beta I got a shadow into it's 60s and just couldn't kill anything. I couldn't do enough damage.

I am doing a shadow now and have it in the 30s and am running into the same thing. I have to be quite a bit over-level to even feel like I can do damage. I barely find gear I can even use. But that's more related to my item find and quantity I guess.

I am NOT in favor of a full respec though. I am probably going to make a marauder (even though I don't like the model or the skills in the passive tree) and just twink it and go through the game. I don't really like doing that, but Since we all know melee isn't nearly as viable with shadows and duelists (and the devs know this) I can't do much of anything else, but farm / sell gear and hope to get orbs. Any feedback I could give has already said multiple times, so I don't know what other kind of feedback to give.

That is a ridiculous statement and part of you has to know it.

I'm NOT in favor of constant free resets. That's not what I'm asking for. But there SHOULD be some more flexibility inside of the build process. It's kind of the point of Beta is to figure this out.

Make orbs a little easier to come by? I don't have an answer besides maybe allowing resets at certain levels... ever 20 or so.
