I don't know about PvP, but I don't see how that advantage will be great enough to change anything. I mean, eventually players will get a feel of the randomized areas anyway.
Although I don't have a multi-monitor setup, I think it would be cool if people with such a setup can put UI elements like inventory and character information on their secondary screens.

I wholeheartedly agree.
While I only have a budget gaming rig running on a 1440x900 native resolution monitor, I don't beleive that someone with enough funds to afford a crazy eyefinity setup should be able to have a tactical gameplay advantage over anyone else. Obviously the devs are trying to avoid $ being a factor in the advancement and advantages of your characters with strictly cosmetic enhancements, then why would they allow a tactical advantage based on the depth of someones pockets.

i agree with reyv though my "budget pc" is a 2.5 quad, gtx 465 sc, and 8gb ddr one monitor is perfect at 1440 x 900

Using a second monitor for the overlay map would be really nice.

Speaking of overlay map, we haven't heard anything about it since that one screenshot months ago. I wonder how it looks now.

I definetely wonder it too. I think we'll see a more faded map with colored door/stairs in the next version of overlay map. Also there will be more contrast between overlay map and the environments in the next version I think.
