[1.0.6] CI Crit Dagger Shadow (30k DPS Flicker Ninja) [OB video up!]

Is this chest worth re rolling to get higher ES or Should I wait to get a vaal regalia? This chest is ilvl 74.. Thanks for any help!

Also I'm still lvl 62 and pretty broke, so i'm gonna use this chest for now. Any suggestions on what to put in the slots? Its RGBBB ... Thinking lightning strike-> LMP-crit dmg-crit strikes-lightning penetration? Or is it worth it to get another green on there so I can fit faster attacks in place of lightning penetration?

roll RRGBB and go Lightning Strike, Wpn Elemental Dmg, Crit Inc, Crit Dmg & LMP it's very good dmg.

I agree with Anamaeus. Though if you happen to roll RRGGB, by all means, stop and use faster attacks instead of increased crit.

I just started using the 5L chest and as such stopped using mana leech with my LS. Definitly feeling short on mana now. Have all my auras on reduced mana gems, and have the skill that adds mana leech from physical damage, is there anything else I can do?

Edit: Meh just realized I should probably use warlord's mark instead of crit. weakness at this point until i get more mana.

There are now four Energy Shield passives behind Chaos Inoculation. There are three 8% additional Energy Shield nodes and a new notable (Infused Shield), which adds a 20% multiplicative Energy Shield bonus.

These are probably worth picking up. Small change to the talent tree for CI users. Still 3 points to invest though... Seems a little steep

Since the last bonus is multiplicative it's a no-brainer investment.

Where do you see these changes? I don't have them on live or on the site's tree-builder.

My experience of this build has been fairly dismal, it pains me to say. I've been encountering wall after wall since act 2 normal. At level 77 I have what I believe to be very good gear, with 5.5k ES, max resists and a ~300 damage weapon (although the only quality gems I have are (20%) LS and (14%) DS atm). I have no mana problems either, but I feel totally ineffective running maps (especially those with tight spaces).



Lightning damage in particular is difficult to deal with and lightning mages in tight spaces take ages to clear out safely! Assorted problematic enemies include the shelled guys from submerged passage who are hard to see under lightning strike, Goatmen who jump behind your lightning strike, and the snakes from Vaal Ruins who move extremely fast (and desynch heavily for me at least).

In one more level I hit Vaal Pact, which is my final milestone. If I don't feel effective after that I will shift more towards my FP Shadow (which has been destroying everything easily since a1 normal and currently at 66 and isn't slowing down at all). This is a shame because I think the crit dagger build is more fun and dynamic.

I have high hopes for the new 20% multiplicative energy shield passive next patch and will probably respect some of my current ES nodes and pick up Vaal Pact at the same time.

I will say one thing though - this build is extremely effective at farming fellshrine and docks with magic finding gear and has made me very rich! Having no need for Health makes itemising magic find a breeze and the lack of blood magic makes swapping an item quantity gem into Lightning Strike simple (eye of chayula synergy when dealing with skeleton archers doesn't hurt either!).

Can someone explain to me the need for Flicker Strike? I dont see what this skill is really useful for other than teleporting and if lucky oneshotting the mob.

Double Strike has higher DPS and i dont mind using whirling winds and then Double Strike which takes almost the same amount of time...just an extra click.

to get your es back up to max =) when going low and u see that u have like 4-5 frenzy charges then flicker away to get your es back up, its more for a defensive thing to have since flicker strike does a lot of dmg
