I really want to try out my first summoner in end game content. Is this build or the auramancer type build better suited for end game content with cheaper gear?

Severed in sleep is only really good with physical/chaos damage dealing minions. Try scourge + clayshaper for the fire version.

Without adding golem jewels and the flasks the build should easily do up to t15. After that point you need to invest more in defense and offense to take down guardians and shaper. Auramancer is more defensive for your minions triple purities adds a lot of mitigation your character won't have as high of a ehp pool since your stuck using a shavs.

Is splitting focus to golems and spectres worth it? Or wouldnt you just be better of going full golem, or full spectres?

What i dont like about full golem, is that there is no really good ascendeny. Most points feel kinda wasted. With this approach at least this problem would been fixed.

Your losing a 40% more multiplier in exchange for adding an equivalent of 2-4 extra "spectre". That is a damage improvement.

Would it be best to go with Victarios with United dream or united with clayshaper or does it really matter?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I have a few mechanics questions and I can't really find it.

I'm wondering what I should be looking to do to improve my character right now, as I've amassed a bit of currency.

I'm using the anima stone and one clayshaper, with an es shield and no umbilicus for added survivability.

Is it better to drop the clayshaper and get a united in dream? One less golem but I'd be getting the poison and the envy aura which will make spectres and flame golems apply poison (I think? These spellcasting spectres can't apply poison otherwise right?).

Is the poison damage from these spectres even worth it since it's only a % of the chaos damage from the envy aura?

Is it better to move away from the fire spell casting spectres and use the slasher miscreation for more poison damage? If so I'd be losing on the synergy with flame golems since slasher miscreations don't make use of the gmp gem nor would flame golems do a lot of poison damage.

What's the way forward here? Do I just give in and start using the umbilicus?

For These which offhanding option is the best questions

It is honestly really hard to tell what is better. For victario it is hard to have all your charges up during boss fights so this shield is just really good for clear speed(Frenzy charges).

Severed/scourge is prob the best for physical based spectre

Clayshaper/option here if you want to focus more on golems

dual scourge will prob give the highest damage boost. 140% additional minion damage is a lot to add since we don't have that many sources of increased minion damage.

For the best balanced option definitely going pick a wep/high es shield. This will help you push your es pool to an acceptable level for endgame content. This is probably the option I am going to use.

United in dream synergises the best with physical spectre unless your using the umbilicus belt then you can poison with the atziri promise.

Definitely start buying some 20/20 gems for your chest slot. Every small upgrade there impacts all your damage dealing minions.

Thank you for answering. I have a 20q flame golem leveling on secondary along with some other gems, but I bought a 20q minion damage now. I upgraded those slots you said and am now sitting at 8k es, now I just need to buy a 6L vaal regalia.

In that case, are my golems and spectres done scaling once I've 20/20'd all the gems? Not that they're doing low damage, they're really good but I was looking forward to further upgrade them which was why I was looking into the united in dream.

Couple more ways to scale is higher level spectre, level 21 flame golem. Some T16 Fire-eaters has enough damage to down shaper and guardians and that is without umbilicus and flask scaling.
