Thanks for all your help and conributions to the witch/summoner community. My main on hardcore has been a summoner and I learned a lot from your guide originally. Upon my return to Path of Exile, I am rerolling on Nemesis with some old friends and that's why I asked.

When do you plan ot have the hardcore iterations of the progression build ready?

If it helps, below is my current build on a new witch I have started:

I assume going forward you would go the right side:

but this deviates from your build and for the right reasons.

Looking forward to your HC progression builds as I am at a lost.

I tried it out and it worked fine.

That chest armor trick however...

I raised the zombies w/ minions life, res and dmg but when i swap for the other chest (putting the gem in the same spot), the zombies didnt have fast attacks or multistrike... Am I missing something?
one thing Ive noticed in EB summoner builds is people ignore the flask nodes. those are great now actually. 30% to flask effect is HUGE. thats +3 max reists on res flasks, extra 1k armor on a white granite, extra 1k evasion on the new evasion flask, and a fuckton of free movespeed on a quicksilver, not to mention MOAR HEAL for our precious spectres/zombies

I have been a bit busy with university and work. I'll look at the passive tree and come up with something (I suspect your going to need to respec out of early defense nodes). Or perhaps i can re do the progression build to make it viable for hc and sc. I'll have something by tonight or tomorrow.

Minions will have the support gems and item stats they were summoned with. Swapping out the gem won't change the minions. The thing u see on the tooltip means what the zombie could have if it were to be summoned right now. The best way to test that this works is to slot mstrike and summon zombies. Remove Mstrike. You will observe the zombies u currently have out using mstrike. (This gives summoners a total of 8 free slots)

Yes, am surprised you noticed the power of those nodes =3. Its the secret hidden op-ness of this build.

Remote mine is multiplicative

Minion Damage is additive

Being busy with real life priorities - I completely understand, thanks for taking the time out to help and contribute once again!

As far as the HC health nodes, I will likely have to respec out of the early defense nodes but I felt like in HC it is needed to get to the later stages in the game where summoners are actually relevant.

What level do summoners get viable to play full time again? I cant seem to recall but I believe it was towards the middle/end of Cruel right?

now its more or less the same, because quality got changed to mine laying speed (useless for us)

if you dont have many min. damage nodes, quality min. damage is def. better. I used to have math written down somewhere but I cant find it now.

I would love to see some numbers =D. I guess i didn't think about that much. Remote mines has no minion damage nodes to multiply with.
