Off Topic - Reality check and PoE - Forum

I want to go back to the church, the pastor won't let me go in. If god... turn away from me. What hope do I have? I find myself back to step 1 playing PoE I remember on a sunday afternoon, I was standing outside the church even I knew I was not welcome to go back, they banned me. I really think you should just do the things you enjoy doing. Who cares what society thinks of you, you don't exist to please anyone but yourself. I grew up in a time where it was blasphemy to be a gamer. I remember in school, pulling out a gaming magazine got me barraged with "nerd" "loser",etc. I'm going to tell you something you need to always remember, don't let people shame you just because you have an illness or you're a nerd, or you're x,y,z. The reality is, we are all a little weird as human beings, we all have our own flaws. Ive never do anything illegal in my life, but as a mentally challenged/ill person I can tell you what I really like to do, What I want to do is nothing more than sitting out in the cold I enjoy being outside when there is a wind chill warning, eating ice-cream that never melts. They said that I can't keep telling people about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_of_Ockham and his work. You punish you for failing and in that pusishment itself you fail to do something with your life. Often it is possible to find help with this. Go to your local medical centre and tell them your problem(s). They will probably send you to someone with an expertise on mental problems. On the other side go doing charity work if you have problems finding a paid job. That gives you social interaction and a good feeling. If you have a good church in the neighbourhood: go talk to the pastor. It doesn't matter if you do not believe in God. A church is often a good and safe place to get some social interaction and help from nice people. They could help you clean and fix up your house if that's needed. That gives a positive mental boost too. Church? Yeah if you want to play russian roulette with the advice you get and pity from your average deluded church goer. Look for support groups. Do you recognize the signs mentioned here? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome Edit: I see you wrote already about Tourette. But I think (with the limited knowledge I have about you) that Tourette is not the only thing. But don't feel down. I work in the ICT and have several colleagues with Asperger and/or Tourette and they are often very succesfull in for example testing software.
