Hive Fortress needs some tweaks

I managed to do a lvl70 one but otherwise they are impossible unless you have a bow or a caster type skill.

+1 one this. ill just skip every fortress untill they either make ailith tankier or make enemie aim at player more.

Can confirm. Playing a Cyclone build with decent AoE. There is no chance i can defend her against swarms of all directions. If i stand close to her, monster will hit her anyway. If i try to cyrcle her, the opposite side always gets her, as the mobs are lightning fast.
This is not possible without constant screenclearing builds. |

Breach monsters needs to be far more aggressive towards the player. The whole concept of "defending" is just not fun. Not sure why devs always add these escort missions and whatnot that every player universally hates. I would not mind being overrun by the monsters. But failing because monsters are coming 360 and unless you off-screen them with zoom clear build you are screwed no matter how strong you are. Can't even get ahead of the waves because then some mob just slaps the npc behind. So you are forced to be at the middle. There is no strategy to have, you just have to have off-screen clear build, no other options. Very bad mechanic for build diversity. This made my awe to become meh. Also why are the defending missions 95% of the pool. The growing circle ones are much more fun but they seem to be so much more rare. It becomes old very fast to "clear" half of the empty map for walls. I'm here to slap monsters, not to chase disappearing windmills.

GGG definitely tested this with 1 ranged damage dealer or in a party of 2 melee damage dealers.
It's all happening right on the edge. I teamed up with another melee damage dealer (I'm a Ele-Hit, he's a Glacial Hammer). Despite a win rate of around 25%, it was fun (it was a novelty for now, but in a week we'll gear uped and and the problem will disappear for those who can party). |

GGG should just make a loot explosion that is based of the amount of waves that were finished. Problem solved. Maybe a challegne for completion ok...As is its a skip for sure, haven't entered a fortress since yesterday.

Ranged monsters should only hit the player. not ever focus the NPC.

+1 please get rid of this "protect a glass in the room with elephants" design cancer. Pretty please.
NPC should not take damage unless she's literally swarmed and player does nothing against this. Mobs running for her not player, when in release announcement it was specifically mentioned mobs would target the player. rn I'm overgeared sunder jumping around the room oneshoting packs and she's been chipped anyway. And it was just a white map HOLY DEVIL IN THE JESUS EATING BANANA APPLE JAM SANDWICHES. |

Taughting does not work they will just murder her while Decoy or you warcry
