Wow, so this is an ongoing problem from 2013? Are the devs working on it?
I started having a problem using voice chat recently. Teammates can't hear me over the distortion, but when I run with --nosound they hear me crystal clear. I didn't even know I had a problem with load times, but it also let me load the game in a fraction of the time. | |

nosound fixed a lot of lag spikes I was having when killing a big chunk of monsters or a lot of spell effects at once.
