I see the problem. I've never used wineskin before, but you need to add the --nosound to the line that says EXE Flags.
Thanks for your help!

Sadly, this didn't really effect my performance. :(
The fact that I have an SSD probably makes it not help as much; my poe runs better than most people who play with macs anyway.

Looks like someone's saving up for a new laptop... Lol.

Bump for visibility
first got random crashes until I started to use --softwareaudio

now the fps are DOUBLED when using --nosound

there must be something *really* horrible in the code part that handles the audio...
Deserves a massive bump.

--noaudio worked wonders for me

Now i can actually enjoy my carcass jack in all its beauty :D.
Still the same issues as before

Spoiler

I've not seen any significant differences with --nosound. Could it be chipset/soundcard/driver related?

yes, it could easily be related to chipset and driver.

no. there is a very critical problem somewhere.
i'm unable to play the game past level 60. it's a slideshow, i hear the hdd working. My mouse is lagging, etc...
I was not confronted to this with my low level characters.

With --nosound, the game is loaded in 5seconds instead of 30... that sum up the thing.

Help! Please fix this.
