Exalted Orbs: The Nickelback of POE

Number 7 or 8 will be increased burning damage. I've used a lot of GCPs. I do trade for currency, just not gear. I did buy a multistrike to test out flicker though. But no weapons, gloves, belts, rings etc.

Just currency and that one gem. And do I think exalts are a little too rare. Yes. Do I think they should drop frequently. No. The choice is whether or not to exalt an item. You should only exalt something that you're currently happy with. In the above example, he already had 1 bad mod, and yet continued. Since you already had something you didn't want, you shouldn't have regaled.

Yes, that shouldn't have been regaled, high chance of wasted exalt.

So you haven't traded for any gems? Given the average drop rate of superior gems, that means you've spent about 60-80gcp. That is a lot of wealth relatively.

And yes, exalt shouldn't be super common drop on everything. But at the same time I don't feel they should be 'don't use on anything that isn't super perfect'. I feel they should be of a rarity where when you have a nice set of boots you can debate spending an exalt for another affix, rather than having to go "unless these are perfect no point exalting". Still not cheap, no way you can just exalt every item you wear, but not impossibly rare.

As I said earlier, I would assum earound a gcp rarity, that makes it quite a bit more rare than a chaos orb, but alot more common than it is currently
2 thing i want done for exalted orbs.

1. instead of adding 1 affix, it maxes the affixes a rare can have

2. increased drop rate.

I have played A LOT and have never popped nor have i even SEEN an exalted orb drop. its drop rate is too low and needs to be increased.
IGN: Visciious
I've had 2 drop in my entire time of playing.

I don't understand. What does this have to do with nickelback? Exalts are very useful and highly sought after. When I find one I am happy, when I hear nickelback I vomit. I don't see any similarity at all.

Did you read the OP? Or any of the six pages discussing how they aren't actually useful anymore?

Nickleback and exalted orbs both get far more attention and credit than they deserve, considering they both suck ass; unfortunately Nickleback isn't as rare as exalts are.

Please. PLEASE. Fix your system. Either make Exalts more useful by restricting garbage mods at high level, make them more common to devalue them so they can be used more freely, or introduce new orbs that allow for some localized customization on an item.

How is this GGG's problem? The players created this exalted craze entirely on their own. Like Slayer says above, blame the frothing masses who heard the term 'pure exalt' and got a gigantic e-boner for whatever reason.

The market will eventaully correct itself. Government intervention can be good in the real world where dumb shit like this exalt bubble can have real adverse consequences on people's lives, but in a game economy it's way more interesting to let the players do what they will.

The increasing public backlash against exalt values (ex: this thread) is part of that correction. If you think exalts will continue to rise relative to all other currency, you aren't paying attention :)

Not to be a dick, but you're like the 11th person that entirely missed the point of this thread. It is not another whine thread about people only wanting exalts, and exalts being worth 38 chaos, etc.
