Does the boss of academy deals elemental (cold?) damage?

Which kind of aura is suggested to deal with him?

I believe his tornado/projectiles are at least 50% physical so I usually go for determination on this one:)

So I did this map. And Vaal was, strangely, quite doable. With 65% lightning res, A crit laser dealt around 3.2K damage. Funny, I also noticed Vaal's laser will change width while dealing crits(is the affected area of effect also bigger then?).

As said before, mult proj, won't increase the amount of lasers, but will spawn extra monsters(even though it seems to be capped to two rows), and increase the area covered with snow.

Ah, this map yielded me two maps(Cells, Underground River), and one unique(velvet slippers)

For those interested, here's some footage:

Yeah, it does increase the amount of monsters spawned (which is good for flasks). Did I fail to mention this in the resource? I'll include it when I work on 74s.
Definitely a great informative thread, thank you OP for your work.

Underground Sea got an upgrade. Updated it.
Has anyone figured out the risk of ruin for maps yet?

For non-gamblers (how do you enjoy this game?) basically a good gambler will only risk a certain portion of his total bankroll to make his bids. If he plays the odds correctly over a long period of time the bankroll will only grow. The problem is most gamblers (because they are gamblers) will take shots at higher limits they shouldn't be playing, end up risking too much then go broke.

Basically with maps I'm just wondering has someone figured out how many maps you need to progress while limiting the chances of being forced to regress? Or even simpler question, how many maps should have you have at each lvl before moving up?

Finished 17th in Rampage - Peaked at 11th
Finished 18th in Torment/Bloodline 1mo Race - peaked at 9th

Nobody knows ;)
I started doing maps couple of days ago and I must say I love to concept.

Today I accidentally activated Orchard map thinking it was Arcade. I was like "hm, this doesn't look like Marketplace". That last boss gave me heart attack on multiple occasions. First, his room is full of mobs. I got to low life more than once. When I finally ran out the door, the bastard popped at me on the other side! Luckily, I managed to survive and eventually take him down.
