Ragdoll Effects

There are no physics in the PoE engine. Adding it in would be a gigantic undertaking.

As I've said in other threads like this, I was very happy to see this game DIDN'T use ragdoll physics. I am all for them, when they get to a point where they are done well and look great. Most of the time, they look silly.
I can get when you might need it for them to interact with your environment in a first person game like Skyrim or something but for this? Hell no.

No need for this.

I enjoy the style of PoE. Deaths could be more bloody and brutal though.

Other users said it before, ragdoll usually looks bad, arms and legs flailing everywhere.

But a little bit of ragdoll on those little bandit guys specifically (not the actual bandit leaders) could be great, no?

Edit: and good ragdoll isn't flailing, it's inertia and gravity.

Yes i would agreed that the death of boss/mobs doesn't give you that "ompf" factor..

GGG need to do better.

Ragdoll effect or not, doesn't matter. As long the death give players the feeling/impression of "ompf" factor.
Currently it just, "oh the boss/mobs just die.., oh ok.. next map/group"

It is extremely enjoyable in D3 to bash people with Barbarian and send them flying everywhere. Wizard also has couple of skill like that. Those skill are much more fun to use then anything I seen in PoE so far.

Well, death animations looks good on flat surfaces, but on bumpy terrain it shows its problems when corpses begin to stick into ground. I would like ragdoll, but I understand the work that is needed for them to implement. At least some physics for gibs would be nice. :D

Given how hard we hit some of these mobs (especially my Marauder), a ragdoll would just flail, not good...
Yeah, but with just death animations, you don't feel power of hit, except for sound and particle effect. They just do the same animations no matter how hard you hit them.

Chris said in a interview that they might add it, depending on how much it would cost to buy a physics engine and depending on the demand
