3.17 = one month retention

The league hasn't started, yet, what are you talking about? Why are you dropping names? What do those players have to do with it?

your credibility is linked to sensational claims such as this

replacing a GPU that burned thanks to this game

Your gpu burned either because it was time or your cooling was crap. Electronics do not "burn out" because of a specific software. The manufacturer implements throttling for a reason.

Do you even proofread your own nonsense?!
The title says something about player retention, yet all you manage is going off several tangents. You must be fun at job interviews. Your first sentence is on topic. Erase everything but that.

I think this was just an advertisement for The Last Ark.
you know a month retention could be amazing if u think there are a ton of hours in a month. any other game would be going crazy if people played 24/7 for a month.

but ya know for everyone not playing that many hours a day a month long the retention would be much longer.

i can tell you i'll be playing much more than a month:) not 24/7 though lmao
3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe.

As you've noticed once successful "pros" from the PoE twitch community are now using Lost Ark as their new opportunity, because their PoE related revenue is not what it used to be, but at the end there's only as many twitch "pros" that can live comfortably from milking the PoE community for so long, and a lot of how much revenue they generate is related to the content they provide, the way they behave toward their audience, as well as their involvement in making the product they stream a much better experience to the community.

I mentioned Lost Ark and gave my opinion, but I never said I'll be playing it after I stop playing this league. I rarely hop between games, unless I'm certain I can enjoy them long term. I dislike popular games, because they start catering to the casual and mainstream market.

I do want to enjoy playing my game for more than 2-3 hours in the day, and I surely don't want to go back to the type of game I was forced to depend on certain individuals who might not show up or not be available to enjoy a game, and then be stuck in Discord often listen things I rather not. Lost Ark brings too many World of Warcraft memories with it's game design, because it was developed a decade ago.

Lost Ark launching now globally won't accomplish half of the success PoE did through the years, but I sure hope it does find success, because at the end it's always better to have one option than none. I knew how bad it sucked when Marvel Heroes Online shut down. If anything what I do know is Path of Exile can co-exist alongside Lost Ark if it caters more toward my market, the same market that will be more valuable to GGG as the mainstream, casual audience hops to the new shiny right now.
I'm telling you, they are missing out on making a MMO.
That's what everyone wants.

Make it feel responsive like wow, look like red dead2/sekiro, with the custom build/skill options of Poe.

You could get 10 mill subs easy, $10 a month, the more subs you gain, the more popularity. Solo story mode, pve, pvp scene would be huge and fun once you get the balance polished, Exploration, making your own home, player housing, guild halls, events, mounts, etc.

There's so much potential and demand on the market.
If you start now you can be done in 2030 so we can all enjoy it in our retirement homes with our 750th booster shots cozy in our rhoa slipper*tm while a nuclear winter is raging outside.

Happy thoughts.
MMOs aren't that popular actually.

EverQuest preceded WoW and captured at its maximum 600k concurrent subscribers then settled somewhere around 300k.

WoW benefitted enormously from the Warcraft IP which had millions of fans already. So it was braindead easy to predict WoW's success. In fact many of the current WoW player base really only care about Warcraft. The game itself is garbage.

Really popular games are games that are fast paced, fast matching and very little ramp up time. Think League kind of gameplay.

I really do need a tl;dr

But I got at least to the PvP mention. What happened to PvP in this game anyway? I still have some very old PvP-only characters from a time when it was pretty popular.
