Hey guys, long time creeper of this build and decided to make it. level 33 and just got dual totems. I'm still playing around with IIQ/IIR items but I have the required so far ( except Shavs obv lol ). So how do you guys play this, from what I understand and what I've been doing is drop 2 totems, cast curse, recast when needed. Now my dps is pretty low (28dps with 20Q spark) but when I'm getting into RF do I need to cast another totem as well as spork totems ? and is RF a must when trying to do high level maps or are you guys doing fine without it ?
No, you only need to cast spark totems. I tried today couple maps (only lvl 71) without rf because -max resist mod and it was ok. Only lost over half of my dmg so clear time is slower. And yeah, i spam totems, cast a curse and play with frostwall until bad guys are away.

I'm trying to run discipline and vitality on my gloves with reduced mana/blood magic gems in them (just like in the guide here) and for some reason it isn't letting me run both of them at the same time. One gets blacked out before the other does.
Just curious if anyone knows the reason as to why this is happening.
Also curious if its even possible...in the OP it seems like it is.

Shav is 14-20 ex, of course you guys won't just get it as a drop. RNG. I haven't had a single good item drop worth more than an Exalt, after three lvl 80s and around 100 ex worth of gear..
I thought it was bottom end 18 ex for a Shav?
My stash is up to 11 pure now, but thought I was only really about half way

you can equip this chest, cast your Auras you want with Bloodmagic, and change the Chest to your normal one.
Bloodmagic from this item does NOT have a mana multiplier like the gem Bloodmagic has. This way I have at least 2 Auras on my Life and 2-3 Auras on my Mana without having any +HP on my gear. +HP on gear is a wothless stat imho with this build

Thanks for the tip. I was planning to buy one after I saw this but I was lucky enough to get an equivalent item on my next fellshrine run :D
The 100% increased mana cost doesn't seem to affect auras.

So if I acquire either the helm or the robe I can cast the two aura's and then switch back to the original helm or armor that I want to use and the affect will still remain on my character? I'm just trying to understand how that exactly works since I thought when I remove said piece that I used to place the aura's on with (lets just say the robe you posted) it will be taken off once I switch it out with the armor piece that I want to use.
Just curious how that exactly works since I would like to use both vitality and discipline/clarity/purity (most likely purity and vitality since they would place me at the lowest possible life modifications without sacrificing my mana as much) and I'm not sure how switching the armor on/off would work.
Edit---Do I also have to have both the two aura's after switching on an equiped item after I make the switch. Sorry about all the questions just fully trying to understand this end of it.

Put auras on helm/shoes/gloves like reduce mana, purity, haste, vitality. Then swap your chest to covenant and cast auras. Swap back to your chest and auras still on with your lifepool.

Yes. You do NOT place any of your gems to the blood magic helm/robe so once you switch it back to your main helm/robe, nothing will get removed. The blood magic status will affect all of your gems, no matter where they are. Just make sure the your vitality and purity aren't placed in your robe if you are planning to buy the blood magic robe or helm if you are planning to buy that. For example, I have them in my shield.
EDIT: Just be extra cautious with these items.. I just accidentally vendored mine and now I have to look for another one. D'oh!

It's possible to run two auras without (ab)using the Blood Magic Items, but it requires high gem levels and enough cash to get a 20% Quality Reduced Mana Gem.
Using the following Variables:
x = Max HP
0.4 * x = HP cost of Vitality
d = HP cost of Discipline
r = Reduced Mana multiplier
b = Blood Magic multiplier
p = Percentage of remaining HP
We can calculate the desired maximum HP as:
x = drb / ( 1 - 0.4rb - p )
Interested in where I got such a formula from? If so, expand this:
Spoiler
I used my brain, together with basic math:
The cost of Vitality with Blood Magic and Reduced Mana is 0.4 * x * r * b (or short: 0.4xrb)
The cost of Discipline with Blood Magic and Reduced Mana is d * r * b (or short: drb)
The desired HP buffer is p * x (or short: px)
What can we do with these values?
Our required maximum HP is: Vitality cost + Discipline cost + desired HP buffer
Translating that into math using our variables:
x = 0.4xrb + drb + px
x - 0.4xrb - px = drb
x * ( 1 - 0.4rb - p ) = drb
x = drb / ( 1 - 0.4rb - p )
The last line is the formula for our required maximum HP
Now the perfect thing you could achieve gem-wise would be:
lvl 20 Discipline (quality doesn't matter here)
lvl 20 Vitality (quality doesn't matter here)
lvl 20 Blood Magic (quality doesn't matter here)
lvl 20 Reduced Mana with 20% Quality
With these gems:
If you want to run both auras and have 35% HP left, you need around 1500 Max HP
If you want to run both auras and have 20% HP left, you need around 800 Max HP
If you want to run both auras and have 10% HP left, you need around 610 Max HP
You can reduce these values by using a lower level Discipline Gem which will reserve less HP
If u're interested in math again:
Spoiler
Let's assume you have lvl 20 Auras, lvl 20 Blood Magic and a 20% Quality lvl 20 Reduced Mana
That means for our upper variables:
d = 215 (discipline at level 20)
r = 0.61 (reduced mana at level 20 and quality 20)
b = 1.96 (blood magic at level 20)
That means
drb = 215 * 0.61 * 1.96 = 257.054
0.4rb = 0.4 * 0.61 * 1.96 = 0.47824
Now if we wanted to have exactly 35% left:
x = 257.054 / ( 1 - 0.47824 - 0.35 ) = 1,496.58
This would mean you would need around 1.5k HP
As this is pretty high for this build, let's try 20% HP left:
TL;DR: Use lvl 20 Vitality, lvl 20 Discipline, lvl 20 Blood Magic and a lvl 20 Q20 Reduced Mana in a 4L item (needs 3 red and a blue socket), then if you have around 800 Max HP, the auras will reserve around 80% of your HP.
I tried quality reduce mana earlier and didnt work with auras. Same value was reserved with q20 lvl 20 and lvl 20.
