Quin69 twitch ban
Is this the fiasco with him saying women wearing 'booty shorts' are asking to get sexually assaulted? If he did actually say that, I'm totally fine with him getting banned.
Maybe it's different when you're the people getting groped. |

He got a 2 weeks ban and appealed with a youtube video.
He should really return to gaming instead of being a reaction andy and getting in situations like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rciEXrnW6Xo Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. What's this guy talking about? Quin got a short 2 week ban and he'll be back in time for the new PoE league.

" Women are doing it too on a regular basis. Its just that men tend to laugh it off and move on. Women arent flawless angels, not even close to. And thats what I meant when I said applying common sense. If you do show off everything there is a chance you end up attracting creeps. Its not like men were flawless angels either. There was a time when this simple fact of life was universally understood. |

I'm not saying women are flawless...
If a person thinks that seeing my thigh makes it even 1% acceptable to grab it, they are a piece of **** human being. Very simple. Not your body, keep your hands off. There is no justification. It doesn't matter if I'm wearing lounge trousers, a knee length dress or booty shorts. If a person can't control their urges, they have an issue to get help with. People who popularise the idea that seeing somebody's body means it is fair game, those people deserve a ban :) |

" Agreed but thats not what he said. Its more like this: If you show off everything there is a 1% chance to attract someone who thinks its ok to grab it and just does it no questions asked. Thats f´cked up no doubt. It still does happen and its more likely to happen if you show it all. Thats what he said and he´s not wrong about that. He phrased it badly tho and if you wanted to, you could interpret it the way you did. I dont think anyone thinks its ok and even if somebody does, you wouldnt say it in public especially not if your livelihood is on the line. We just happen to live in a timeline where way too many people are looking to twist and turn words so they get to be offended and claim victimhood, which is also f´cked up. |

" That is why Twitch,Reddit or communities in general are toxic. Cancel culture. Just relying on out of context clips or text passages. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

" I appreciate your point, but he didn't just word it badly. I didn't misinterpret what he said, I interpreted it entirely correctly. If that is what he meant, it is completely different to what he said. There is a big difference between 'wearing booty shorts makes perverts more likely to grope you' and 'wearing booty shorts is asking to be sexually assaulted'. One is telling people that perverts are perverts and target any flesh they can land their eyes on, the other tells people that the person wearing the booty shorts wants you to do it. They are asking for it. It assigns responsibility to the person being groped. In live situations, like Twitch, people can spew things out without thinking and obviously there needs to be some appreciation for that. This though? This isn't that, and when you are as toxic as Quin (I get that it is his thing), the benefit of the doubt is no longer there for you. How we phrase things is really important. Edit: And yes, I agree, there are plenty of instances in media of people just looking to be offended, and it's annoying. This isn't that though. " This is where I disagree. To me "asking for it" doesnt necessarily mean "wanting it" but "accepting the risk". I dont want to discuss semantics tho. Never ends well on the internet :) Lets just agree to disagree on this specific point. Other than that it seems we are on the same page. |

" After watching the YT video of him, it's ironic that he even admitted people are too focused on semantics instead of the topic itself. I have to agree with Orbaal here. |
