I just want to repost that I like the new auras because of the
performance improvements. Further I prefer using 2 auras. The only reason I like the new ones is the low frame lag, they are less beautiful. I look forward to and encourage the development of beautiful low lag auras. |

How many rejection should be enough for GGG to get down on and make a change in the direction on this issue I really wonder.
Not before 100 pages, 200 pages ? I really can't get what GGG is waiting for on this particular problem, this was a shameful change and you know it, on top of that the silence of GGG is extremely on unbearable side, mind you. If you won't make any change then whats the purpose of taking feedback from players ? Hope GGG would stoop answering this question at the least, maybe. "This is too good for you, very powerful ! It's just seems written with the disdainful nasty tone of, "Say whatever you want we've already made up our minds and were not gonna do anything about it." I really hope that's not the case... I hope I'm wrong on this. But you closed my thread and several other members threads that had NO "Aura Rage" in it at all (very Diablo 3 of you). Then, you post this thread Like a "Free Speech Zone" where the US Gov. corrals people off to the side, out of the way, when they don't like their ideas and they want to ignore them. Now, most all of the comments in this thread (from the very first reply to the last one) are from members 'very nicely' just asking for a Graphic's Option Setting where we can choose between the old kickass auras, and the lame new 8-bit friendly auras... ...and 35 pages later you guys haven't written 7 lines of code to add a simple option for us to choose? What's up with that? We're not asking for a lot here. We know that sometimes we'll want to turn off the disco ball... and you guys did a great job of making aura's that aren't graphics intensive for people who buy their computer with food stamps.... but seriously... " Your post is just amazing my friend, let's hope that GGG at least give us a answer to what they will do about the auras. Basically they said that they just did a quick fix on performance and the aura subject will be discussed and probably redone in the future. So a question comes up. If this is just a quick fix, why not give us the option to use the old auras, meanwhile they can make a improved and final version of the auras (with high details and good performance) without leaving anyone sad, the slow pc's users and the regular players that have pc's capable of rendering 156 auras at the same time. The analogy with the parent and the child is just perfect, we feel like kids bragging in our bedrooms with the door locked while our parents watch tv with the volume on max to not hear our complains. Thanks a lot for your post mate, it will help a lot in our cause and sorry if i did some english mistakes, i'm from Brazil. |

" Well I certainly think they have gotten the message that a very large portion of the playerbase (probably a majority) is unhappy with it. ...and they certainly have had enough time to respond to the many, many reasonable requests to add a Graphics Option for the Auras. In truth, they have had plenty of time to actually implement the Graphics Option if they wanted to do it... but certainly they have had more than enough time to give us an answer on the Graphics Option. Graphics Option is the perfect solution... Makes everyone happy and it's such a simple piece of code to add on that it could be done in like 5 minutes. IGN: _Johnny_Blaze_

Just wanted to add that I think you did a really good job with the new Auras in terms of the minimalist design philosophy... and that even though I prefer the old Auras, there are certainly times when I would select the minimalist Aura option. Many people welcome and benefit from the new minimalist auras. My (and others) feedback that we don't like the new Aura's isn't a reflection on you, but rather the Minimalist design philosophy itself.
