Post aura rage here. I will lock any other aura thread I see.

Honestly it kinda bothers me that I even need to bring this up but...the Aura changes...terrible. Absolutely awful. Part of the appeal of this (and any) good game is the game play, content, and "coolness" factor. The auras were cool. Part of the appeal of leveling a new toon was being able to sport them in later content.
Listen. I'm only gonna say this once. Lean in close GGG devs....I'll whisper it in your ear: "THE SUREST WAY TO KILL YOUR PLAYER BASE IS TO TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE AND THEN TRY TO SPIN IT LIKE IT'S A BENEFIT TO US AND IF WE THOUGHT ABOUT IT WE ACTUALLY LIKE IT"

Blizz/Activision has been talkin to us like this for years. Jay Wilson told us on a weekly basis how stupid we were for not understanding / liking his nerfs. (remember when they killed attack speed and 'explained' how much better it actually was and then arrogantly told us 'aren't you thankful'?)

Point being...please don't make this your slide down the dangerous road of "we know what's best" for our player base. Were here because of great (make that fantastic) gaming. Please don't spoil it. Not now. Wake up....slap yourselves on the forehead and say "Holy s*** did we seriously think our player base was going to accept the new aura graphics??", and then restore them. Now.
I don't expect I'm going to have to say this again or so help me I'll turn the car around right now and you can bet you can forget about ice cream if that happens...........

Not everyone can play on their family computer each time so anything to cut down on performance is welcomed and intuitive; I travel so I have to use my laptop and this game burns my CPU like nothing else-- I also think the new designs are sleek and modern.

The same rants would exist if GGG had switched the designs (1st aura designs become the 2nd, and 2nd become the original); this is all hot-air

Spell effects play a very important role in make a game appealing. I'm already getting a bit bored with the game, but losing my spell effects such as Lightning Arrow and now Auras certainly doesn't help.

Please listen to the majority of the players and add a spell effects option. Hell I'd even buy my original Lightning Arrow from the cash shop.

No. This is never a good idea. But something should be done for the current ones.

If you are keeping the new auras at least make them thicker and glowing. At the moment you can't even differentiate them from each other.

i actually like the new clarity better and don't care about some of the other changes, but i really miss the old purity/haste.

+1 for a config option of course, and i'd love it if the config was aura-specific so we can mix and match to minmax prettiness! (or, for example, to pick the auras we really want to know about so that they stand out while reducing visual lag.) this game is about customization, right? ;)

I came on forums to post feedback for first time really...I hate the new aura simplicity. I loved the old auras...at least allow us to choose between "complex" or "simple." It's just slightly harder to distinguish between auras and I personally find the simple effects kind of ugly. Just my opinon :)

Please, we just need a dev here to say: "we are going to add an option to choose old or new auras" and all the problems are gone, so easy!

If there's tons os players that didnt like at all the new auras (including me), why harm the gameplay fun for these people in a way to increase the game performance on low end pc's.

Make a option and both sides will enjoy, actually, to make it perfect, make a gui tab named auras and let us decide which aura can be seen and the looks of them (old or new).

This is what the players want, don't be like Blizzard that forces the players to enjoy what they want, give us what we asked, it's so much easier and you will gain so much credit and credibility for it.

Bottom line, thanks GGG, we really love your game, so respect this and give us what WE WANT AND NOT WHAT YOU THINK WE WANT.

It's completely disheartening to see a game take steps backward in fidelity before it's even out of beta

I'm naive and ignorant to game design but I would think a lower graphics option instead of a complete replacement would be the obvious and natural action to fix this performance problem I've never had or heard complaints of

When I started playing this I thought things like SLI support or better texture packs would be the natural updates, not simplifying effects like LA and removing auras

Yeah the new auras do look completely awful, please make a it so that in the settings "High" brigs back the old aura looks, and "Medium" would make them look scaled down alot, for compute performances of some people obviously.
