Ultimatum is everything I don't like about current poe.
It's similar to rituals, the more obstacles / walls the worse. what i like with Ultis is that you can take the reward each round if you feel you will die next round.

" Sorry , but that goes to the paragraph spewing Envoy. I don't need to hear a paragraph from this fuckwad every time I pass by him after I've killed the maven a gazillion times. |

agree with the OP, would really like to see Ultimatum retired to the dust bin this is literally the first and only league mechanic that I think shouldn't go core.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |

Hope they learn from this mistake.

I've never experienced the content yet since I haven't made anyone new since Delve League, but looking forward to what they bring into the core leagues. It's usually polished and more appreciated when it hits there.

ulti-s aren't 'untested' nor 'unbalanced'. they're very well tuned, actually. very challenging, and I love that. (trade HC PoV)

" They are unbalanced relative to the areas they're in. You are either running areas that are significantly easy for your character and enjoying Ultimatums, or you're in an area that is suited for your character and skipping them. That's what they mean by "unbalanced". |

You are not alone. Just look at the Steam charts. This league is a train wreck.
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. " ~ Hunter S Thompson ~

I also disagree that it's a "train wreck". The reason that the league is losing people is that there's nothing new but the league, and the league is lack-luster at best. That doesn't make it a wreck. You can completely ignore it if you choose to. People are taking time off. Not a "wreck" if they come back.

Didint take me 7 Challenges to figure that out. Breach like version 10.0 with a sassy trialmaster. Some of it's just burnout because games get old and all that - but GGG better represent before I play. My time is too valuable to do another breach. - I think I figured out how to keep entertained tho - play once a year that way you can learn a bunch of new systems so even if league sucks you got fall back positions.
