This is absurd.
" Maybe that 99% (random inaccurate statistic you used) are doing something wrong... In all my time in PoE I have ran into like two rock monster guys that I bypassed due to life regen / super high ES. I could have killed them if I wanted to take the time. There is nothing wrong with a challenge, if you cannot meet the challenge maybe you are not very good, or maybe you need to adjust your strategy to overcome. Conviction LE could be overcome with enough gear, just like any situation in poe or D3 for that matter. Considering how huge of a D3 supporter you seemed to be I am surprised you are against this... what do you think an Extra Fast / Invulnerable Minions / Jailer / Mortar guy is going to do to you on Inferno? Kill you, thats what he is going to do. How is that fun, but a difficulty spike in poe is bad? This is what we call a 'gear check'. You may just not do enough damage to kill that guy with current gear. I like that poe is not a constant gear check however like D3. |

Only things I wish I could bypass are the Necromancers, when they spawn 3 in 1 room with a shipload of minios (act1), especialy if one is a boss.
Besides that I can whipe it all, just need to adjust tactics all the time. Only problem boss is the last Boss of Act 1 becouse there are no minions to make zombies from in that fight. |

I read thru this thread and can honestly say,
SWEET! A CHALLENGING GAME FOR ONCE! I swear not since Contra have we had to work for a win. Make my specs, Gems and choices useful, make me think and plan. This sounds freakin' awesome. I for one am SO tired of games that allow every class, regardless of how they are spec'd, to succeed in the same manner. |

Still think it isn't a problem with easy versus hard. It is a problem with time versus reward. It isn't a challenge most of the time and I still think the game is too easy other than some cheap attacks that you cannot dodge. Like I said before, either you need lots of fast cannon fodder enemies that force you to fight, or give some of the beefier monsters a lower base hp (and a few more hard hitting attacks, preferably dodgable but unforgiving) because they just aren't worth fighting. I could fight a 10 minute battle against a monster with lots of hp that regenerates, or I could just go kill some skeleton bosses in 3 hits and get the same drops. There is a lack of balance in that regard and in my opinion it hurts the game.
