Streamer priority is as unethical as p2w. Discuss.

Streamer que priority completely destroys any idea of a fresh economy on league start.

Especially when you not only let big economic streamer players in priority, but their entire economy ruining party, too.

It actually boggles the mind. What it does show, is just how meaningless the average player is, especially when they are so blatant about it.
playing this game since BETA never had a single mirror drop yet now i understand why bcoz im not Streamer ty GGG

Why is everyone acting like this was intended? The average player can't compete with content creators regardless of prio anyway. And again, if they launch was actually smooth, being a few minutes behind doesn't change a thing.

This is assuming it was a smooth launch, but making sure content is there to promote things is a good thing. If the average player base really thinks their 10-15min of available play time is gonna set them back 40ex the first day, and not the fact people are playing 12h+, there's something wrong with them.

The problem stems from the fact is was NOT a smooth launch, and the queue prio has persisted resulting in hours of a difference which is a completely different scenario. How does GGG fix it? Who knows?

A restart doesn't work until the problem is actually fixed, but then it's too late since enough people will have put in the work for the progress they do have.. And taking the prio away at this point doesn't matter since the damage is already done. It's really a lose/lose situation.

Could more testing have been done? Maybe, and if so definitely should have been. Could we argue GGG should be more ready for launches? Absolutely, but we're also not the ones doing the work, so don't 100% know what's going on behind the scenes. But people are acting like this scenario was created to just shit on the average player base on purpose, and that would be the most foolish thing to do.

People need to stop being mad over streamers' queue prio. It's smart marketing and not the problem here.

The problem IS however, the launch has been terrible and those actually able to make any progress are streamers. If things went smoothly, a few minute head start is nothing. But now over the course of the day, it's become several hours of a head start.

People plan their schedules around league starts, and if it were unplayable it already sucks, but having it appear to be playable and it not actually being is another.

Let's take off the tinfoil hats, and lower the pitchforks. GGG's plan surely wasn't to rope everyone in with all the hype just to let 100 people play. They're clearly working on it, so let's wait to burn the forums down.

I, for the most part, agree. To preface, I was actually a bit excited for this league as a revamp to multiple crafting systems and harvest nerf excited me. The market last league was an absolute mess so I was actually excited that my knowledge from a few years of play would be useful again.

However, like you said, people plan schedules for these league starts. It would suck if the game was down but at least that would mean they realized problems ahead of time and want to deliver quality. This is actually worse because the ones who plan their schedules for it are typically the ones that know how huge the first few days can be for you. So, in the case they don't restart, it's a massive slap in the face.

Server issues may be out of GGG's control. Deciding whether certain groups of people should get priority certainly is.

It has nothing to do with fair or not fair. It has something to do with Respect the hole Community of POE.

How many Viewers had a Top Streamer without us ( the Community )? Its true that not every Player is fast like Empyrian or Ziz etc, etc. But we play the same Game and had maybe the same Hours into it or more or less Money but we are not Streamers. A POE Player with 15k Hours and let us say 5k US Dollar over 7 Years is less worth then a Streamer. Tbh it is not the End of the World but it feels like that we are a "Second Hand" Player.

Im not angry or totally frustrated but a little bit disappointed.
absolute bullshit day for GGG
