You can't make any attacks, including puncture into totems traps or mines because they're weapon attacks and require a weapon. It'd be hard to justify and would require some technical stuff as the traps/totems/mines would then have to have your weapon and such.


OF COURSE YOU CAN did you even read the trap ability? Is specifically says attack abilities.
Hi guys, I'm looking into making a trap build since it doesn't seem terribly expensive and looks awfully fun to use.

So basically I want to be able to sustain myself using leeching traps (Elemental Hit + Trap + Weapon Elemental Damage + Life Leech + Mana Leech with a Wand probably).

However, I'm not quite sure what the behavior is with Life Gain/Life Leech/Mana Leech traps, as well as with Reflect packs.

My understanding is that Traps actually have life and mana, similar to minions.

Will putting Life Leech on an Elemental Hit trap leech life towards me or the trap? And will reflect mobs hit me or the trap when I deal damage to it?

leeching is given to the trap... which is expired and even if it didn't expire on using the ability desired, it only has 1 hp.

So basically traps will never give me life? What if I have +Life Gain on attack landed on my gear?

So then the Trap would gain life (if it was possible), it makes no difference.

I am currently doing a bow trap build, and I agree that the Trap support in combination with Puncture really does have very inconsistent targeting. I've had quite a few instances where it just plain misses and the arrow flies off into nowhere.

Also I'd really like it if we could get a keystone or similar that reduces the recharge timer. Fire Trap and such got a shorter cooldown, but not the support gem.

Would like to know several things:

1) Do trap damage passives with this support gem impact minions?

2) Does crit multi from traps impact minions in any way?

3) Does it work the same way with totems? What about linked spell totem with summon skeletons?

Yes

Support gems have no innate crits, so no

It would work but it's going to be fairly cumbersome to throw a trap that summons a totem to summon minions

I don't think this has been addressed so far:

When I throw a fire trap it can go over obstacles like coffins or height changes in terrain.

But when I throw a Desecrate+Trap+Multiple Traps, it gets blocked by those same obstacles.

Not sure if this is intended, but it's frustrating.
