" " You post saying I'm a troll, and that my posts are irrelevant. You only say this because I've already shown that you have proven nothing, and you are angry about it, so you insult me and try to make me look like the bad guy. I've seen it every other time someone on this forum has disagreed with me, the go-to response is to just make me look like the bad guy so that I appear incorrect. I'm not. " I could easily go and conduct this same test with an exactly 433 item sample size, and I'd likely get similar results, though I'd be willing to bet that mine would be biased away from another "class" type of gear. That's just how randomness works. i too fas fo youuuuuuu

" That would be the best bet. Get to it. Pick a Monster level with the best possible Witch RNG as well, it will be informative and truly countering and something actually worth all the effort you've put into the thread discussing everything but nothing. |

biggest issue i have with this thread is the use of the term "witch gear"
i will give you sample size (even though those you label as trolls are correct its too small a sample size)...but i cannot entertain your insistance that there should be "witch gear" and that it needs at all to be re-balanced. ~SotW HC Guild~

technically the sample size here is 381 with 6 possible results, because the question being discussed is the breakdown of gear of each type.
So with 6 possible results, I am not at all sure if a sample size of 381 actually means much. But congrats Cronk on doing the analysis that you did. Clearly a lot of work put into this. I’d like to also point out that at monster lvl 21, the highest pure ES chest you can find is the scholars robe which requires lvl 18, and the next below that is lvl 11 For the helm, the highest lvl you could find is 17, next lowest being 8 For the gloves the highest lvl you could find is 12!! For the boots, the highest lvl you could find is 9!! So we are doing an experiment here to determine what exactly? I don’t feel that was clearly defined. But if we are particularly interested in the number of pure ES pieces that drop the choice of a lvl 21 zone is particularly interesting because there are very few pure ES gear that become available to drop near that lvl. Any of us who have played this game for a while know that drops are weighted towards to monster level, but that anything is possible to drop. So the samples were taken from a level 21 zone, and the closest possible level for pure ES is anywhere from 9 to 18. This will impact your results. In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back. Last edited by Trapperkeeper#6979 on Mar 26, 2013, 3:21:14 PM

" this this this...don't focus on the number of samples but HOW, WHERE, and the fact they were taken at mostly the SAME LVL. ~SotW HC Guild~

" "I have a big issue, but I can't show it." Typical response from someone who says they have a big dick, but what's this? 99% men think they have a big dick, but the average is 5.5? Wow! Something is strange! Seriously, Scrap, if you are going to say you have a big issue about something, why don't you write an assessment for that big issue? Tell us all why you think the small gear pool has no impact on the OP's assessment. I'll be waiting... You will never see a man faking anger, passion and relentless behavior. " He's right in that the term "witch gear" doesnt really have a set definition, and is one of the big issues here. Pure ES gear? Well, pure ES gear actually makes up almost exactly one sixth of the armour pool. So there isnt a problem there. What this comes down to, which I have pointed out before, is weapons. And that depends greatly on how you choose to spec your character. As for being a caster, it's not just wands - staves, sceptres, daggers - there are many options for spell damage. But then you can also spec a melee witch, who still uses ES armour. So, if you want to debate this topic, why not start a new thread along the lines of "Lack of non-hybrid caster weapons"? That seems to be the only legitimate issue that can be raised from this thread. |

" If that's the 'only' issue you see here then I'm not surprised you can't find anything to discuss, you've obviously missed pretty much every cause and effect behind and arising from the thread topic. Nevermind. So, you enjoy farming on a 4% chance of finding a white hat, shield, gloves, boots before you even consider rarity, links and mods do you? Oh right... Nevermind. |
