This build utilizes the Storm Secret ring and it's buff to Herald of Thunder in combination with Inpulsa/Crit chest explosions. We also need some talents/jewels/items to counter the total of 500 unmitigated lightning damage we take from each Herald of Thunder procc.

TLDR;Build is completely fine, minor nerf to crit (rougly 10% dmg loss) and nerf to Glancing blow, need to change tree a bit to get 5 extra points for it. Ring is more rare and cost around 80C. HUGE - Calamitous Vision is only 90C, last league it was 10-20EX. " " Update Log

There are several ways to play this build but the basics is to proc Herald of Thunder in some way, it could be with Orb of Storms, Storm Brand, Ball lightning etc. Then run around and watch everything explode by the help of Inpulsa. That's it. However, we need to counter the damage we take from Storm Secret which we'll get into in the gear section. Ascendancy & Pantheon

Bandits Help Alira for crit multi and res Pantheons Major - Up to you, typically Solaris vs single-target and Lunaris for clear Minor - I'm using Gruthul for clear and Ryslatha for bosses for the flask charges Gear

Weapon Other Options Agnerod South Rare with these mods: +3 to Lightning Skill Gems (+2 works too) +2 to All Skill Gems +1 to maximum power charges #% damage per power charge Ele/lightning dmg as extra chaos Spell/Lightning Damage Flat added lightning damage Helm Mods to look for on rare Life Res Str + Dex (if needed) +1 to Maximum Power Charge -cold res to nearby enemies Crit Multiplier Enchant: HoT Damage or reduced mana reservation. Storm brand enchant works too but it's expensive and not as good. Body Armour Other options Inpulsa as budget option. IMPORTANT! If you have low DPS then Inpulsa is WAY BETTER in terms of explosions. Rare armour with explode will feel bad. Gloves Other Options If you use Inpulsa, get Storm's Gift to make sure killed enemies explodes + spread shock. Belt Replica Soul Tether - Gives us Corrupted Soul. Can be used as a cheap option to Glorious Vanity. Mods to look for Life Res Str/dex as needed Lightning/ele dmg (not to attacks, won't work) Boots Mods to look for Life Res MS Tailwind Amulet Other Options Badge of the Brotherhood (Expensive, fast) Mods to look for on rare Crit multi +1 int/lightning skill gem Lightning damage Spell Damage Damage per power charge Life Rings Other Options Replace one of them with Circle of Regret with Herald of thunder Lightning Damage + Lightning res/to max lightning res for less damage taken from your procs. Around 20% DPS loss. Jewels Life Crit multi Str/dex if needed Calamitous Visions - HUGE dmg boost, around 100%. Glorious Vanity - Place either below Pain attunement or Mind over Matter. Gives Corrupted Soul (20% of max life as extra ES + 50% of non-chaos damage taken bypasses ES). This let's us take 50% dmg from life and other 50% from ES, allowing us to leech ES and life at the same time to combat Storm Secret damage. Cluster Jewels Large: IMPORTANT! Get A lightning jewel with Storm Drinker & Doryani's lesson if you need more leech. This will greatly help with the Storm Secret Damage. If leech is fine go for Overshock (helps with shocking) and any other dmg cluster mod. Medium: Empowered Envoy + Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Small: Chaos res with anti-venom if needed, else Life with Fettle or Sublime Sensation/Towering Threat. Flasks Gems and Links

I am using a Necro variation of the Autobomber and its insane tanking but the dps without Calamitous Visions jewel is really bad, in your guide you do not mention this jewel, you don't use it? The dps in red maps its good without it? |

https://streamable.com/x0d85t Dmg is fine withouth calamitous. I did Bran a8 recently witouth problem and all shaper guardians (chimera is bit tricky, need to add immortal call to this fight becouse when u get unlucky in fog faze u can die :P)

" It's my bad, I accidently deleted it from the Jewel part. It almost doubles your Herald of thunder dmg but you can absolutely go without it. Did A8 without it too. YOu can clear all maps with budget gear, no problem. |

White Maps very impressive so far. Life Sustain was a Pain with low Gem Levels, but works fine now, atleast with one Storm Secret. But I must say that I got +2 Max Lightning Res (1 from Tree and one on Ring implicit), before that I still could die on some Map Bosses. With two Storm Secrets I also cannot Sustain Life in Garden and Delve. It's a cool Combination of laziness and Fun, never played something so easy. Do you have an advice what I should upgrade next? I think more Life comes with Higher level only. Also I need boots/helm and Belt with ES maybe, for better sustain? Also I wonder what we could do with the 22% unreserved Mana, maybe try some reservation Nodes and get an Aspect? I don't know anymore what "Auras" will work with Lone Messenger, but some do, atleast there were some when I played a Agony Build in 3.8. In the "how to play" Section would be nice to clarify if or not we need to keep the Inspiration Charges up for max DPS, or if the Inspiration Support works with HoT even if we do not see Charges. Because if I don't lay Brands down I don't get Charges, atleast not visually. Also I am currently trying Innervate in the Shock Nova, works so far. I wonder why so many People don't use it in their (whatever Lightning Skill) Builds. Wiki sais it is almost as good as Added Lightning Support and advisable to trigger it with a secondary Skill. Not worth it? | |
" Get Glorious vanity with Doryani and place below Mind over Matter or Pain attunement, it will do wonders. Get life leech/ES leech on lightning cluster jewel helps a lot too. Haven't tried innervate, will look into it, same with adding more info to the how to play section. Try if Aspect of the spider works with Lone messenger, not sure but could be worth it. After that I'd get a rare staff with + power charge and +3 lightning gems with whatever else you could get. You can also go for Badge of the brotherhood if you get rich. |

anyone can guide on how to level with storm brand? i jz reach act 6 and the storm brand damage even on a 6L is horrendous.
