Yes actually it is lol. Either he gave the info to someone in his hometown or the email was hacked. This would be the only way to bypass the ip check on the account period. Either way..its thes ops issue not GGG

I understand. You have to understand: GGG did not create a perfect log in. Diablo 3 did the same thing and look what happened. People still get hacked. The least a player support can do is reset the character and delete those items that the hacker has. I can verify any information needed. They cannot.
sorry but you are wrong. Played every blizzard game and have NEVER been hacked. People get hacked by their own doing. Until you understand this you will just want blame other for you ignorance. You are 25 and need to stop blaming others for your actions

Lol, I don't even know what to say to that.
Well how would you explain it? If they refuse to do anything, even a partial restoration, then what does that say about them?
When a company says they will not restore lost items for any reason. Then stick to that, that doesnt make them a bad customer service company. I can "hack" my account from my friends house report it as hacked get everything back free then still have all the original items. Ya that sounds like a good economic fix.
Stop being an idiot.
It is horrible customer service when it is a very rigid policy that seriously inconveniences the players of this game when they are a victim. Though I understand a company can do whatever they want, I don't agree with GGG's approach to this. If you were hacked you would be singing the same song too -- if you wouldn't, many others would take your place so subjective opinions don't matter here. The majority of all players would like at least some sort of support when they are hacked.
The best thing GGG can do to keep their policy while also attempting to please victims of a hacking or whatever would be a partial restoration to allow people to make do with all of their lost possessions and still keep using their characters instead of going all the way back to square one.
Chris has already mentioned in another post that they are able to combat duping VERY effectively because every single thing has a unique ID attached to it. He also explained that it's easy to see where the duped item has went wherever so they are able to combat quickly traded duped items. They can use this to delete the original items.
There is no need for calling me an idiot.

You obviously know nothing about hacking or anything related to it.
Please escort yourself out or i'll have my servants do it.
This isn't an awesome super duper awesome game that has nothing bad happen to it.
A year ago I got hacked on WoW, I had the best virus protection you could find. No hacks, nothing. But they have good support is the difference and I got everything back and it never happened again because I wasn't unlucky a 2nd a time and wasn't bait for a professional hacker once more.
Even the richest company on the interspiders and the best game on the interwebs has hacking problems, you expect a nothing meaningless game like this not to?

Regardless of what happened here, if GGG started to refund people, that'd open the floodgates for all sorts of scammers, they simply don't have the manpower to sort through 95% of fake hacked accounts who for example traded an item claiming they've been hacked.

You are the one talking out your ass. You want to blame a company for your actions. Sorry but there is no point in trying to talk to the dumb. cry more.

They cant delete the stolen items? That's what everyone else does.
This would undermine any confidence in trading in-game. Even if they had the capability to delete the stolen items (they probably do) think about what that would do to the trade community in-game?
If I trade for an exalted orb, and then a day later it disappears because it had been a stolen item, do you think I'm going to continue to participate in the economy and do more trades?
GGG has very good reasons for the "no-restoration" policy. It's not because they don't care, or that they are lazy, or that they just want you to suffer. They have the policy to keep the economy and trading activity from being destroyed.
At that point, player support would explain that you've received a stolen item from trade. They delete that stolen item and then return your item that you traded for that duped item. It's not that hard to grasp really.

Chris has also explained why they cannot do restorations of items, or delete the items the hackers steal. I'll explain it again for you:

The best thing GGG can do is stick to the policy. Which is no restoration. Its not GGG's fault. The fact that games even have to have a "Dont give your password to anyone" TIP in loading screens is pathetic.
