Etiquette on items with no price

On PS4 EVERYTHING lists without a price, well 90% at least anyways.
I check trade price and send that, most of the time I get a reply for 5c more than I offered and I buy it.
On PC, I send what looks like the right price and never hear back.
Seems some people just like displaying their treasures...
Some people just do a dump in a make offer tab and then wait for offers, I think next season I am making a 3c quad tab and just dumping everything in there, repricing as needed.
Fill it, nothing sells? Off to the vendor with the lot of it.
I'm to the point where leaving a map isn't worth it anymore.
Not for the portal, but for the waste of time.
I will wear your ghost and you will die twice, against me and for me.
That is some cold blooded shit to say...

I list my dump tabs in unusual currencies. like Vaal Orbs, GCPs, Divines. Not only those become more valuable later in the league, but others usually do not accept anything but chaos so it's easier to make a trade for 1 divine rather than 15c , even if you profit like 10c on SC at this moment :)
I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me.

3.13 was the golden age.

What do you do?

Throw up a low ball offer?

Ask them what they want? (but then probably ignored because they wont know which item you mean unless its a unique)

Why even list it with no price except as a negotiation technique?

As a rule of thumb. Don’t bother looking/negotiating for items without a price.

This.

They either wont respond at all, or want some hilariously outrageous price. They wont come out and say it though, they'll demand you make an offer then go with insults etc.

Dont waste your time, pretend they dont exist (like the below market priced items).
Do not ask " how much?". Stupidest question ever. You see the item has no price, why are you asking how much? Make an offer. That doesn't mean try and be clever and low ball. Make a reasonable offer. It's not that hard.

I always offer low, and when people are exceptionally rude, I remind them that there is a way to price items. When they want to bargain, I am in for the ride. And when I am ignored, it is pretty much the usual trade experience. I save a lot doing this.
My favorite part about offering for an item that's listed for no price is when they're up for 2-3 weeks or longer. I usually do a bit of research to find what the price could be. Pretty much, doing all the work the seller didn't want to do already. I try to find items that are really close to what I want (that actually have a price), and I will usually offer a bit more (for the unlisted) because what the guy/girl has is what I need.

One of three things happen usually. I get a LOL to sum it up on the first response. The second is they usually want more, and sometimes they only want a few extra chaos, I guess people just want to win or something I don't know. The third is the item isn't even for sale, and that's why it doesn't have a listed price.

Of course I get no responses but that's actually pretty rare and I've even had some people get extremely angry because they swear I changed the price lol because it/was listed for xyz.

Moral of the story, better to try than not try but be prepared for some crazy shenanigans.
just ignore them and find one with a real price

This is what you should do. Asking " hi, are you there?" and " hello, how much?" is so cringy stupid.
Almost as stupid as offering 50c for something obviously worth a couple exalt.
A lot of my items listed without a price are so I can find them easier by just searching poetrade. Like blighted maps. You can't search stash for "blight", but you CAN search poetrade for things being sold by [me] with "Blighted" in the name.
On Hardcore this usually works pretty well if you offer reasonable price. Often price can be in the lower bracket of that item.

It works usually even better for things like maps - here I'm usually able to get them for minimum listed sell price. :-)
MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS!
