Gaming is dying as it is however GGG stands tall.

theres some serious melodrama going on here gaming is dying if you were an early adopter because its become mainstream, which means both heavy commercialization on the business side and utter morons on the consumer side.

The most you can do is don't make the problem worse, don't buy unfinished games, don't support predatory MTX and fight for every penny of value that you can.

Luckily there are still games that come out as a giant fuck you to the industry at large where they've gone for quality over everything else but we have to accept that making up the numbers is now the job of EA/Activision/Ubi fighting for the same piece of boring digital real estate.

I mean come on I_NO DMC 5??? Right?? Right?? I know your excited I know I am! First time I saw a trailer at E3 where I actually got hyped

Games were always made to make money. The only diffrence is that in 2005 literally no one would give any money to unfinished bugged crap we today get. The only reason such shitty unfinished, bugged games are made today is fact that people are giving money for such games. Thats all.

Well I meant a bit earlier like in 95’s. When u could buy game cheap and have fun for months without any mtx, loot boxes, prepaid nonsense, etc...
But that doesn’t matter, now ppl want everything NOW! And they willing to pay for it even it’s not finished, sad:( And that’s it, easy money grab...

You're about 20 years behind schedule with that guess.

We all know, we will one day, all of us, just stop playing games.
We all know that is a fact.

And if any of you ask why/how? Only one word exists for that. Life.

And for the games market and Developing and the future of games in general, some of us actually see where it is going, and will be going.

Pretty much sums ups PoE's launch.

Not that you were here for it or anything, poseur.

Arguably the "launch" was the post-beta release in October of that year.

Anyway, I'm not convinced that gaming is dying. Maybe PC gaming is dying, but I still have a ton of fun with nintendo games.
