Don't be a "ninja = kick" baby

It's all FFA, the difference is that in non-ninja groups you have some sort of tolerance and respect for loot timers. I personally don't like FFA groups because it is a general rush and grab that mostly will get you killed or stressed enough to end up being killed.

I don't care about the wraeclast's ruthless feeling being brought to the game through the loot system: I want to focus on killing.

i wish they would add in some more graphic options!! my machine lags horribly when i party in 6 man groups. and im running an i7 2nd gen and fairly decent $300 card but by the time i even click its gone. i dont get pissy about it, i just wish there was more graphic options like turn off others effects maybe?? i cant play hardcore cause i will freeze up or lag out.. and this is for EVERY machine nearly. some worse then otherr. they need to add more graphic options..

ITT, OP has issues with allowing other people to have opinions.

Some of the most enjoyable parties I've joined (and made friends in) have been loot-to-name parties.

I do enjoy FFA parties as well, but I do my best to respect the rules of the party creator/leader.

Add option for personal loot or FFA for the party leader everyone wins no excuse i can see for not doing it FFA players get FFA "casuals" get personal loot everyone's happy everyone gets the loot system they want with no effect on the economy

only reason not to do this i see on the forums is some vague crap about the "games atmosphere" being harmed

Ninjas can be stubborn sometimes, its funny to see people rushing to pickup items that have no hope of being good or just fill their inventories with crap, then when something good does drop their inventory is full with shitty rare staffs, slow 1 handed weapons and other useless junk.

If the game was truly cutthroat about looting there should be some repercussions against ninja looting like in D2 *cough PvP* much like if you stole something in front of someone in real life.

Crying about other people doing what they want, and calling them babies? Wow.

The issue isn't just loot timers. The physics engine of the game doesn't always all you to pick up an item when another group or group of players is between you and the item. A simple group leader option for FFA or loot timer, or increase the loot timer/increase pick up radius would solve the problem.

Wanted to add constructive idea, its very simple idea, but I think it's obvious when you think about it.

The main problem with the loot system currently is entitlement. An item drops with your name on it and the first impulse in the brain is that its your item.

So simply... just remove the names from the loot timers. Players can then all see an item fall with a timer. The player who is suppose to get it will it in colour not greyed out and know they are the first one allowed to pick it up.

If you take the name out of the loot timer it will fix a lot of the psychological problems.

1. those selfish idiots think "it was my name. so it is my item". this is too annoying. i dont recommend you to play with random people really when you are low level. they are way more annoying at low level. they say "what if i can get 1 alch?". what a fucking chintsy. if it is FFA, i can accept anything. everyone has chance to get any item freely. if someone is in the dungeon, he has right to do anything even if he is weak low level or whatever. i really love this freedom. again. i hate some safe MMO boring thing. i love action game.
at least hide the name. only show item loot timer.
or change the name to something. those people are out of control. let's try this once. hide name. show only timer.
2. make a function for permanent name looting and FFA looting.
i really fucking hate waiting to pick up item and other people don't like it.
everyone loves FFA looting. we don't need this fucking inconvenient looting.
what if i die to wait to pick up item?
make the damn functions already.
and i dont trust anyone.
if unique is dropped or something very good, everyone will try to pick up and mute all you.
yeah add a button i can mute everyone. its better.
