Blizzard is working on a 'new, unannounced Diablo project'
" Came here off of the bandwagon of disenfranchised D1/D2/D2:LOD addicts that craved for a spiritual successor when Blizzard became Activision-Blizzard. Was even informed by it by friends who still got on Battle.net, without having found it on my own. Very pleased they showed this to me. Disappointed that this eventually repeated the Activision-Blizzard scenario, but that's a different topic. I did not, have not, and will not purchase Diablo 3. Diablo 4 will fall in the same vein. I will reinstall D1/D2 at the drop of a hat if one of my old friends tells me they want to play it seriously or if I have a craving for Median. But I will also put my money where my mouth/heart are, and won't give another dime to Activision-Blizzard. I'm a fan of the most epic ARPG games. The series died in my heart a long time ago. Bring back race seasons. Last edited by AbdulAlhazred#4759 on Jun 14, 2018, 3:28:09 AM

" Town Square nostalgia. Odd though that I never encountered D1/D2 RPers in my era. Plenty of those in StarCraft maps, though. I imagine it helped immensely that StarCraft provided the map creation tools to allow UMS map-makers to do RP maps. Bring back race seasons.

I've been waiting for years for graphics to catch up with the sound effects of D2.
Maybe the time is nigh. |

" Probably this. But, I'll take it. Pretty much anything beats Tencent PoE at the moment. Even a potential expansion on a very mediocre ARPG. I average 250-300hrs per Diablo 3 league, and I haven't broke 200hrs in a league in PoE in a very long time. PoE = usually get one character mapping red maps, and quit the league due to no sustainable end game content. If I can't actively engage in the content, then it might as well not even exist for me. And people say they get bored with D3 really quickly. Well, I get bored with PoE for the above stated reasons. The "action" part of D3 is considerably better than PoE, IMO, even though PoE is considerably better at the "RPG" part. D3 is the best "ARPG" that's heavily weighted towards action over RPG. At the end of the day, if I'm gonna mow down packs of mobs, and get loot, I'd rather do that in D3 than in PoE. It's just more fun to do that in D3. Some people say D3 is like an arcade beat-em-up, and maybe it is? I like arcade beat-em-ups. Dragon's Crown is pretty good. If Blizzard makes a D4, and the "action" part of the game is just as good as D3's, but they do a bit better on the RPG part, they'd have a real winner. Like the type of winner that pretty much closes the doors on PoE for everyone but diehard fans. Chris might have been smart to sell off to Tencent, if he happens to know something about what Blizzard is working on through the grapevine.
