If you want Death,s oath/decay to do enough damage when you swap to those, I,d grab the damage nodes first. You should easily be able to do early tier maps with "meh" EHP thanks to temp chains and enfeeble. Tabula ED 3 or 4 link contagion 4 link blight to help at bosses. Pretty straight forward setup. The moment you get ED + contagion going, the game plays itself.
