[3.2] Zerphi EA Pathfinder - Instant Heal / Magic Find / HoGM / PvP
3.2 Update: Build is fine! Just use 3 or more Fevered Mind jewels. Zerphi is available in Bestiary!
Here you can see an overview of the Zerphi Explosive Arrow build that I'm currently playing and enjoying. It's a very special build. The core mechanic of the build is the interaction of Blood Rage, Mind over Matters, Blood Magic and Zerphi's Last Breath. When Blood Rage is active, your mana will slowly decrease. This enables you to use Zerphi's Last Breath. Zerphi heals you for 800% of mana costs / attack. You are able to attack over 7 times / second which will result in massive healing. Blood Magic within your links allows you to spam Explosive Arrow and also increases the mana (life) costs of Explosive Arrow which benefits the healing.
This build is a very good Hall of Grandmasters farmer and one of the current top tier PvP builds.
This build is NOT an allround mapper. It's NOT a beginner friendly build either. You can complete Atlas with it up to T16, but you will struggle to kill bosses that you can't get next to a wall/object. That's because of the very bad single target dps of Explosive Arrow. If you can manage to get the boss next to a wall, shoot the wall and the AoE of Explosive Arrow will kill it quite fast though.
My suggestion for mapping: focus on farming maps with bosses that you can position next to a wall.

- Ele dmg gem is working for EA + Explosion / AoE since 3.0 - more dmg than Chance to Ignite / Empower 4
Nature's Boon, Master Alchemist, Veteran Bowyer, Nature's Adrenaline
- Fire Damage % and Life %
- Nice to have: Projectile Damage / Area Damage / Attack Speed / Resists
Note: You may use a Conqueror's Potency jewel to gain another projectile from Dying Sun, because it will increase your "Increased Flask Effect" to over 50% (if you have all ascendancy nodes and "Alchemist"). Concider it's also increasing your mana regen.
Note: also unluck the upgrades for both pantheon powers (capture at least Garhall and Stormflay)
- Blood Rage + Mind over Matters to get rid of mana -> to be able to use Zerphi
- If you don't degen mana when Blood Rage is active, your life may be too low and/or your mana regen is too high - some ways to fix the problem: remove Conqueror's Potency or mana regen nodes / flask effect nodes or don't use Goldwyrm
- Bisco's Collar doesn't work in HoG: 2.6.0f Patch Notes: "Fixed an issue where Bisco's Collar treated Grandmasters as white monsters."
- How to kill the "Block" GMs (Mull Guben,...): stay at walls/pillars -> shoot wall/pillar -> AoE of EA will deal with them

Hi, I really liked this build, and I'm thinking of creating it, but I have some doubts..
How does it look on red maps?
Would empower/wed be better than chance to Ignite?

It's viable vs. map bosses that walk on top of you. In this case you will kite them to a wall -> shoot wall -> AoE of EA takes care...
